Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numberous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

Games, when possible, will have their SKU number posted. Please post any SKU numbers you have that aren't already in the list!

Also, some stores will be able to give you a price adjustment if your clearance game(s) drop-- if not, you can always try to return and rebuy the game(s).

yes it does, i just bought tekken 6 for $7.49 plus tax (24.98 - 30% - 10)
 
yeah I got riddick for about $4 as well in store today. wasn't even trying to combine the offers but it did it automatically.
 
I also just combo'd the Halo coup and the extra 30% on a copy of Lips #1 w/mic, taking it from $39.98 to ~18.XX with tax. Wasnt even expecting to buy anything.

Yes TRU does price adjustments.

And this is sort of OT, but I don't know where else to post it. Maybe it's already been discussed on here, but recently TRU changed its policies and no longer PM's TRU.com. So if games (or anything) have a different price online, the clerks will just tell you to buy it online.
 
Dragon Age: Origins Awakening wasn't on clearance at my TRU tonight even though it was when the last drop hit. I really wanted to get it with the $10 coupon plus the 30% off, but I only got the $10 off (which is still a decent deal, just disappointing). Also picked up Devil May Cry 4 for $7.50 after both discounts.

I think there is a separate deal for 30% off accessories that is responsible for that.
 
sorry, please help...the clearance games are 30% off right now (games ending with 8 or 0?)? can't find the "oficial post" on this, ty for the response.

Yes, clearance games for 360 & ps3 are 30% off. Clearance at TRU end in 8 (usually 98, national clearance) or 0 (can be store clearance).

And as for the 30% off of accessories sale, I was told by the lady in Rzone today that it worked on the XBL sub cards, but not the MS points. But I didn't try it for myself so I can't confirm.

It usually becomes a 0 once its $5 or below it seems.

IIRC the even prices at TRU (like 5.00 or 10.00) signify that said item has hit it's lowest clearance price and won't drop in price any further.
 
Couldn't get the clearance discount to stack with the B1G1 $10 off promo - anyone have luck with that? Specifically, I tried getting :360: Gears of War and :ps3: Saints Row 2, which was 24.98.

i was at a local TRU and they had 13month xbl cards on clearance for $25 and the 30% off also stacked.

Yeah, the only time I have seen an .00 price change is the $5.00 GBA games goto $3.00 GBA games, but that could of been a in store promotion.

Got tons of new games for my self today, $40 for 5 non clearanced games (Fable II, Gears of War, Assassins Creed, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic's Genesis Collection) and $12 for the 9 Clearance games I am going to keep, and got some other clearanced stuff to resell. Those few extra copys of the Williams Pinball Collection should more then cover all of these games.

Don't think it would have worked with Saints Row. It would have to be from a select list of games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Assassins Creed, and I think 2 other ones.
 
The list posted at the TRU I bought them from had about 25 games on it, SR2 included. Besides SOCOM Confrontation (also on the list), I'm not sure what other games might apply to both discounts though.
 
picked up :360: your in the movies for 7.xx was 9.98 but it was 30% off....i heard that the game isnt really that great but it would make a good webcam
 
Resurrecting this one from the dead.... clearance games (except Wii and DS) are once again 30% off from 9/10-9/18. There was a lot of issues with the promotion today, but hopefully it'll be fixed for tomorrow, and also be aware this promotion does not stack with the current buy one get one 40% off sale that ends 9/11.

They did markdowns again this week, mostly PS3, however most weren't particularly good (Heavy Rain and Singularity $54.98, Green Day Rockband PS3/360 $44.98, Dante's Inferno $34.98 among the few I recall).
 
Thanks for bunping the thread. I noticed that green day rockbadn is 45 bucks stackable with additional 30 percent.

So doing my math, 45 - (4.5 x 3 = 13.5) = $ 31.50 for ps3 green day rockband. Can it get any cheaper than that for next month or two?

It's very tempting. I just bought mgspw for 20 buck at BB using a coupon. So may hold off on buying for now

I wonder if this stacks with Nier which is $29.98 through today?

i think GD rock band will get much cheaper. Just look at all the other band specific RB/GH titles.

Also, much easier to just multiple by .7.

With Rock Band 3 coming out, GD's price will tank. I didn't track it, but I think that's what happened to Beatles when GD released.

Should be after. Most clearance item prices end with an 8

Edit - I forgot to scan the game so actually I could be wrong. Game could be an extra 30% off - I'm going to try tonight.
 
Usually the sticker price on the shelf if it ends in an "8" or "0" IS the clearance price. If there are any sales going such as the 30% off clearance software for 360/PS3, then it will be 30% off the sticker price.

Just came back from my local TRU and Mass Effect 2 was listed as $26.98 so the 30% discount brought it back down to $18.98 plus tax. Oddly, the employee needed a supervisor override but it all worked out for me since I got the last copy thankfully.

I saw the 360 version of Nier for $29.98 -- a special of $20 off their clearance price of $49.98. It should still qualify for the 30% off clearance.

Sadly, the PS3 version does have the same $20 off, but it's $39.99 after having dropped from the full retail price of $59.99.

As an aside, I picked up 360 Lego Rock Band for a friend. It was marked as $17.98, and the computer saw it at that, but the computer didn't take off the discount. The employee working the register was kind enough to manually add the discount.

Actually, as someone else pointed out, Nier does not qualify for the additional 30% (not surprising considering the register locks out two of the same type of discount from items usually) and the $20 price drop ended yesterday.

Is there an up-to-date clearance list in this thread or in another? I went back a few pages and found a 360 list but that's it. Stumbled into a TRU yesterday to find myself knee deep in clearance goodies and now I want to know what could be unmarked or at other stores. :)
 
I just got a platinum hits triple pack for 360. Dead Rising, Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 for $24.49 after the 30% off.

Actually, TRU seems to be really getting everything updated on the tags this time. Having said that, there aren't any hidden clearance gems to be had. Most of the stuff is only a reasonable deal while the additional 30% is in effect and even then, many games are only slightly cheaper than Amazon or elsewhere.
 
Hopefully they do the 25/30 percent off clearance items on toys again soon. The Final Fantasy XIII Play Arts figures are now on clearance for 30, getting them around to 22-23 would be awesome.

Just got the e-mail with the $20 and T-shirt Halo Reach offer and at the bottom, it says Wii and DS clearance games will be 30% off on Friday and Saturday as well. Not too sure if anything good was available for either system, but might be worth a trip.
 
Saw this at the Toys R Us down in Oceanside, CA a week ago. I remember Tales of Vesperia was hard to find a year ago... and it's only $20 now!!!
