Trade 2 DVDs ($ 1 and above) and get $ 19.99 and below NEW BluRay for $ 5 at SunCoast
SunCoast still exists? Every store in Florida I knew they had has shut down years ago...
ditto, wonder if fye will do this. a picture on online ad or something would be greatly appreciated.

the suncoasts i knew in/around ny are all gone, but not missed. they had the worst prices on everything. 100% retail. i doubt there will be many/any 20$ NEW blurays to choose from, if its anything like i remember the store to be.

I've yet to find any new blu ray on their website for 19.99 or below.

I did find 2001 space oddysey for $224.99 though!

Worked out great for me. I had a ton of DVDs to trade. DVDs have to have a trade in value of at least $1. A lot ring up 1 cent. They wouldn't take a lot of theatrical release movies, which worked out fine because they took all of my kids old DVDs from when they were kids. Stuff they never, ever would watch again including disney princess, bear in the big blue house, jay jay, rolie polie olie, etc. I got rid of a giant ton of crap taking up space that they basically gave me 7.50 for each disc !!

Ended up getting:

Hairspray
A Few Good Men
Sex and the City
Memento
Wanted
Burn After Reading
We are Marshall
Fred Claus

for $5 apiece. Great Deal !!

Thanks OP, great deal!

The one I went to in Lakewood said that it had to be regularly priced at 19.99; where did you go? I couldn't find Memento at that price.

They were even accepting my $0.01 DVDs at my SunCoast in Honolulu. It's $19.99 MSRP too which means the picking is very small/terrible. Most of the movies I bought go for about $10 average on Amazon but for me it was more about clearing space that the DVDs took up.

they have to scan the barcode in, but i had some luck just asking them about dvds i didn't have on hand when i was at the b&m

Too bad we don't have one around here... I think they left in the 90's because they sucked that much. Yes, I know. sarcasm

I have one near me, i will see if i can get down there this week. I would like to know more about this and there is nothing on their site.

Here they are doing ANY $19.99 blu-ray in the store. MSRP can be anything as long as it rings up as $19.99 or less...

Maybe I'll check out other SunCoast locations as I have more DVDs to unload.

Which store is that?

None near the Indy area or I'd try it...I have a few hundred DVDs I'd like to convert to Blu-Rays. Then again...a few years from now most catalog blu-rays will be going for $5, so it doesn't hurt to wait. I still remember paying $30 a pop for DVDs when they first came out and $100 each for VHS movies when they first came out.

Went to the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco and the deal was on in full swing. One of the employees had even collected all the sub $20 Blu-rays into boxes for easy browsing. In my opinion they were more than fair with the trades. In fact they took some stuff that I thought they probably shouldn't (full list below for those who care). The employee who rang me up also tried to use the $3 off staycation coupon, but the computer wasn't having any of it, so I didn't push the subject. He was even nice enough to hold a few more movies for me until tomorrow so I can bring another load to trade.

I just picked up Batman Begins. The store I went to (Vancouver WA) wouldn't do blu rays on sale, so I couldn't get Memento or Hellboy. Oh well.

if it helps, i went to the lakewood, ca location and they only accept trades with $19.99 regular priced as well as the westminster, ca location and they accept trades for ANY new BD priced, sale or otherwise, at $19.99 or less.

also, there's one copy of Requiem for a Dream left at lakewood for 19.99. heartily recommended.
