Trade Etiquette and Procedure Question

Howdy, I wonder if some of the more experienced hands on CAG could provide me with a couple quick answers. This is my first time trying to sell/trade something on the site. My question is: If I have multiple messages of inquiry on a single item, do I tell them all that other people have shown interest? Do I sell to the first person to contact me regarding an item or the first person to agree to terms?I just don't want to waste peoples valuable time and commit a selling faux pas on my first go round. Thanks for the input.

Pretty much.  If you haven't already committed to a trade, see what the best offer is and then let the others down gently.  If you're lucky they'll counter with a better offer.  Now if you already said yeah, I'm going to trade/sell this to you, then you should follow through.
