Transferring Data from old 360 to new 360 (slim)?

Seems like there are a 100 different ways to get this done.

I'm just looking to copy all of my save data to my new 360. I can redownload demos.

Also, how do I get all my downloaded games back?

Can I just use a 4gb USB cable or should I just get a data transfer cable off amazon? What's the best way to go about doing this?
