Transferring PS2 saves to a PC

So this is probably a really stupid question, but I've only had my PS2 for a year and a month, so I wont feel too bad asking. So are there any devices like a Dex Drive that allow you to transfer saves to your PC?

Maxdrive. You need the 2 software discs, one for the pc, one for the ps2, then you use a usb drive to transfer the files back and forth. My maxdrive came with a 16mb drive, but if you can find one without it and save a few bucks you can use any usb drive you may have. It turns out I can use my camera and my mp3 player to transfer saves too.
