Just like we noted last week, Trinity Universe is coming to the West and NIS America is publishing the crossover RPG. Characters from Gust’s Atelier games, Disgaea, and a bunch of original characters mingle in two separate storylines.

Here’s a snippet on each of them.

kanataKanata’s story
For generations, Kanata’s ancestors have protected the Netheruniverse by transmogrifying into a Demon God Gem. However, Demon God King Kanata refused to become the gem and instead became a Demon Dog King. Since then, he has enjoyed a carefree life in hiding, but he eventually began thinking about the toll of his decision. Accepting the title of Demon God King and becoming the gemstone will stop space debris from crashing into his world. If he could get to the source of the space debris and solve the problem, everybody will be happy. Determined, Kanata goes on a journey to save his world.

rizeleaRizelea’s story
Rizelea is a Valkyrie who keeps the galaxy’s peace and harmony. She has been keeping the peace for hundreds of years, but one day she decides to go to the run-down sections of the Netheruniverse to restore the peace there. When she arrives, she learns that the Netheruniverse is constantly in danger from space debris and decides to investigate this matter.

When Idea Factory developed Trinity Universe they made it in full 3D. Japan got the game last October. NIS America has a localized version scheduled for North America and Europe this June.
I'm very glad to hear this game is coming stateside. Adds another game on my to buy list, especially since I like JRPGs and NIS/Gust characters. :D
Up for pre-order at GS/EB:

Unfortunately, as of this post, the GS coupons like 15new and 25off aren't taking off the right amounts so I'm gonna wait until thats cleared up to pre-order.

Also did a double take when I saw Tecmo as the distributor but then I remembered their merger with Koei and that Koei or Atlus are usually NISA's distributor. /end geekout
The coupon works so anyone who wants to preorder @ Ebgames/Gamestop can do so online.

15NEW - 15% off any new in-stock Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii title. Online offer only. May not be combined with other offers. Offer subject to change. Expires 4/30/2010

Yeah, you're right. It works now. Got it for $37.50 using the 25off code. Woohoo! Hopefully GS puts Atelier Rorona up for pre-order before the end of April so I can still use the 25off coupon.

I'm still not sure what to think of the game, but I think I'll wait for the reviews and to see what other people think about it. It looks like a game I should like, but I'm not sure about the developer.

The OP looks kind of fun.
