Trophy Question?

I was wondering if your trophies are attached to your psn name or if they are attached to your system.

For example say my ps3 crashes and i send it out or buy a new one log in with my psn id will all my trophies load? or should i be backing up my system occasionally?

This is just a hypothetical question

The trophies are attached to your PSN account, all you have to do is check your trophies and it will update.

Your trophies stay with your PSN name. Your trophies will be synced onto the system when you sign in with that username should you get a new console or have it repaired, etc.

Not quite 100% accurate. Your trophies, while they are tied to your PSN name, will stay on the system until it is synced online. However, once the sync occurs, you should be able to pull them down on to any other system you log on to.

I am aware of this since I have 2 PS3's and have opened things on one without syncing it only to open the trophy again on my other system after moving saved games over.
