So I got Bejeweled Deluxe for a friend for free on mother's day. I downloaded the install file to my USB drive and plopped it on her computer.
She does not have internet access and cannot register the game. Customer service says that it is not possible to play the game without internet access, which makes it a pretty crappy gift.
I'd raise more of a ruckus if I had actually paid for it, but as is I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a workaround. For instance, can a popcap game only be registered to a particular computer? Or could I register it and move it to her computer? I don't want to do this unless I'm sure it will work because I have no interest in the game and I don't want to be the one stuck with it and her stuck with nothing.
Customer service's idea was to buy a retail version. Right. Jerks. I actually thought I was buying a physical copy when they asked for my address, my mistake. Bleh.
