My friends and I are in the midst of an ongoing Fact or Crap game. We have the calendar and every day I text out the day's Fact or Crap. When all the responses come in, I send out the answer and keep a tally of points. In December we are going to get together and run through the last month all at once (add a little drama).
However, there HAVE been a few very suspect "Facts" that did not hold up to scrutiny. Currently in dispute:
"FACT" - Alex North's Unchained Melody has appeared on over 800 records since it first entered the charts in 1955.
Now, I'm not looking to worm my way out of this one ("Records are not CD's", etc). I just want to check the validity of this claim. I tried to google trivia with several different combinations and came up with nothing more than some references to 650+ (which could include 800+). Anybody got some good reliable resources?
I was going to let it go, but one of the other "players" brought it up last night and also disputed the claim.
