Simpsons seasons 4-9 (maybe 10), Lost: Complete Collection, Hurt Locker, Spartacus, Dollhouse, Back To The Future, and Batman: Under The Red Hood are ones I'll be watching on.
Hope the Fringe season 1 deal is awesome.
Considering Best Buy had it for $10 a while back, I imagine it will be around the same price. I'd love it if they did something with Season 2. I was actually hoping for a deal on Supernatural.

Out of everything listed the only thing I'm interested in is Back to the Future. Hoping it's like 25-30. The list is pretty dissapointing.

I wonder what they'll do for that Mad Men slot if they don't get the 50,000 likes on FB. Probably sell it for a bit higher?
Eh that list sucks, imo.

They do have other sales than just the Lighting Deal sales, right?
Last year they did.

Was last year or the year before better for amazon's BF? I didn't keep up with it two years ago, but I heard it was epic compared to last year's. While they had a few good deals of their own, they pretty much just PM'd everything and that was it.

Which did save me time, gas, and the crowd from other retailers, but I would like a few original deals from my favorite place to shop

Way too many DVDs this year... very disappointing "preview" calendar.

NEED MORE BLU-RAYS AMAZON! I thought you were trying to be the leader in Blu-ray.

After the first few episodes, season 3 of The Simpsons is amazing. Consider adding it instead of S10 it if you don't already have season 3! ;)

Well Gossip Girl was 12.99 last year I believe and with season two. They are going have to do more seasons for that, fringe, burn notice, supernatural, etc if they want to be remotely interesting this year.
Got an e-mail on this, apparently the Alien Anthology is $70 on Blu.

Yep, it's the deal of the week for $70.49.
Lol, keep dropping to $40. . .

The only thing that really interests me is Lost: The Complete Series on blu-ray. $120 or less and I'm in. I may also pick up Dollhouse S1 on blu-ray if it is $20 or less.

I wasn't looking to purchase a lot of movies anyway. Mad Men Seasons 1-3, Predators, and Saving Private Ryan are on my list. I'm hoping they pricematch or Day Breakers and from Paris With Love. I can see why people would get mad though, they always put the same TV on DVDs for sale.
They better put True Blood on sale... Also, the 15 minutes to purchase thing is stupid. I sure hope they're not making that their new lightning deal policy.
How is it stupid? It makes it fair for everyone. How would you feel seeing someone's cart loaded down with products that your are 100% definitely for certain going to purchase . . . while they are ONLY thinking about it?

Yeah I like the limited time offer thing but it should be longer than 15 minutes. I'd say extend it to 30 if anything. Being a non-prime member I usually only buy things when I have $25 or more in my cart for free shipping, so sometimes I have to scour the store to find something to add up to that amount. With 15 minutes I'd feel too much pressure, but 30 would be fine. Thankfully there's always something I need at amzn. Yes I know, I need to get Prime.

What's the point now that some lightning deals don't have a claim rate? If anything they should allow anyone who wants it to claim it and only update their carts once allocation is sold out. It's obvious the new system is flawed and some people have reported not being able to even get the correct pricing even when it's not OOS. They should either have the claim % and 15 minute time out (at which point you can re-add) or no limit on claims and your cart updates once allocation is exhausted.

Karate Kid BR not showing in the calendar anymore, but i think they're gonna PM Walmart, but a lot of things Simpsons gonna catch those, and why Fringe S1 instead of 2 , but yeah a lot of dvds its disappointing, maybe they gonna throw the deals in the regular section

They will ALWAYS base shipping on the price of the item before the discount is applied. For example, a $40 item discounted to $20 will NOT require any filler item to qualify for the FSSS option.

also if you guys just want more time, buy it with a declined form of payment and it will give you 3 days to change the order

Where do you see a deal for Fringe?

I'm kinda debating that as well. Season 10 started out REALLY well (Screaming Yellow Honkers, When You Dish Upon A Star, Lard of the Dance), but some of the episodes are REALLY bad (Simpson Bible Stories stands to mind). Though we'll see.
Monday, Nov. 29

Fringe: The Complete First Season
Damn somehow I skipped over all the Monday deals, sweet.
What do you consider the last truly awesome Simpsons season? I have up through season 7.. should I snag 8, 9?
I stopped at 8 or 9...but I'll buy them all if they're cheap enough. $10 each, you could do worse. Blu won't really do the early seasons justice anyway. I'd only get them if they were the same dirt cheap as DVD

I don't remember what season of the Simpsons turned to crap. I remember one of the last classic episodes, for me, was the one where they went to New York. That was in the ninth season.

EDIT: After refreshing myself on an episode list of season 9, season 9 is still a decent season. I'd say you're safe with getting seasons 8 and 9.

I got the 13th season on blu thinking it would be HD. But the only thing that is HD is the menus. The episodes are SD. I just asumed that they would be HD, why do some older thinigs like movies get converted over to HD? My jaw fell when i saw that it was SD, i think its borderline criminal.

That New York episode was the one of the all time greatest episodes.

Hoping Chuck season 3 Blu-ray will be on sale during this. Also hoping that Spartacus will be 20 or lower :D

Wouldn't mind seeing the Legend of the Seeker seasons also popping up on sale.
What do you consider the last truly awesome Simpsons season? I have up through season 7.. should I snag 8, 9?
IMO, season 10 is when the show stopped having great episodes, though there were a few duds during that year. But I really like what they did in season 20. They finally stopped basing entire episodes on the guest star of the week or Homer getting into some idiotic scheme that had an anti-climatic ending and began focusing on character development much more. I almost shed a tear in that episode when Moe fell in love with a little person.

Anyway, hoping to pick up Spartacus this time around. Amazon's deal on the season has been really good, but with it popping up on Black Friday, I'm hoping it drops to $25 or so. Interested to see what price they'll give the Lost complete series too. I'm guessing it'll be around $100-120.

I'm going to be all over the Simpsons seasons. I already own the 1st seasons so probably seasons 2-9 for me. Also want Saving Private Ryan. That's about it though.
