Yep, a person before you inspired me to go, and I'm glad I did. I got 25 5.00 Blus. Got the five I've heard about people getting plus some other ones.
I don't understand how Armored of all things sold out so quickly. That movie sucked major donkey balls.
$5 + most people haven't seen it = a "sure, why not" purchase (or throwing it in as filler for free shipping).

I know a lot of people that watch ANY movie. Most people don't understand know about IMBD or rotten tomatoes and at $5 they might not even care. I almost threw it in my cart just because it was $5 but the score on rotten tomatoes sucked so I passed.
Anybody have any ideas on how much Shutter Island on BD is gonna be?
Based on Hurt Locker and Private Ryan, probably $9.99
Alice is like R rated version of Alice in Wonderland.
Not really. It's like a PG-rated contemporary TV mini-series take...if you saw TIN MAN on SciFi Channel, the same guy did that. It's not that bad, my wife was watching some of it and it was better than we thought it would be.
I am guess it will be $29.99. Not bad, that's $10 a movie!
Aren't there deals of it going cheaper than that now?

I'm trying to decide between buying the Aliens Anthology or Back to the Future Trilogy on Amazon. Any suggestions/advice? Not increadibly familair with either series. Thanks.

In my opinion, the first two Alien films are great. I hated Alien 3, I hated it. And I'm a big David Fincher fan. Alien Resurrection I never saw.

But, on BttF, if you've never seen it...wow, just buy it already. One of my all-time favorites. Never gets old to me, just a happy movie all around, and full of 80's goodness. The sequels are fun too, but BttF is a classic.

I'd say the BTTF trilogy gives you more BANG! for your buck. The first 2 Alien films are great but the rest are average at best. BTTF is fantastic and the sequel is ok. The third film is not as good as the first 2 but for $30-$35 it is a great deal. I am going to wait to get the Alien anthology until I can find it for $40, which might be a while.

Sorry I was confused on the Dazed and Confused deal.

When the calendar was first released, I clicked on Dazed and Confused and it was at full price.

I doubt it gets lower than $8 anyways, Criterion, you know?

If it does, and I already ordered it, can I get Amazon to price match or would I have to re-buy and return one?

both have series have really good 1st and 2nd movies. Conisdering aliens is 2x as much $$$, I would go with BTTF. Buy alien and aliens if you find good deal on them..

Dazed and Confused was $9.99 earlier this week so I am almost positive that the lightning deal would be lower than that. Might go for $5.
How about a price on Back to the Future?
i got back to the future blu for 34.99 on amazon

It's a really tempting purchase I'll wait and decide when I get home from work tonight. I kinda want to see it again after going to the initial showing in the theaters but already spent way too much this weekend. Thanks for the info.
Amazon currently has S1 and S2 of Breaking Bad on BluRay for $18.49 each, and on DVD for $15.49 (S1) or $14.99 (S2).

Very, very tempted to cancel my Deep Discount order for this. I think my Deep Discount price was slightly cheaper than that. Their site is down or something, I can't check.
EDIT: Hmm, second season I'm actually paying more for. First season I'm only paying 16.48. Decisions, decisions.

S1 isn't a great transfer, S2 is much better.

Haha, I know. Although the order did enter "processing" I need to call them and find out if they're actually going to ship it.

EDIT: Just cancelled everything. How long does it take to show in my order that everything is cancelled?

Unless 9.99 is the Lightning Deal price and its already just marked down, those prices on the calender seem to be the locked price.

Anyone have any guesses as to what the Back to the Future trilogy will be Monday?

Nvrmind - Looks like we're guessing $29.99

Gah, finally gave in and got..

Weeds S1-S3 (Blu)
Mad Men S1-S3 (Blu)

I'm thinking of staying away from looking at more deals or I'm going to end up eating cups of noodle for 2 weeks :/

Any opinion on "The Prisoneer"? I didn't know it was a 10 disc set and a British program from the 60s. I'm intrigued.

EDIT: Blu Ray release? Was it shot on film or something?
I have a $40 Amazon credit. Any BluRays you guys recommend?
Too many to name lol. Check out some of the threads on this board and see what interests you.

The Prisoner was shot on film, so the blu-ray release is the way to go. I got it for Christmas last year based on the reviews I saw and was totally blown away; you won't be disappointed if you buy it.

B&N had it for 27.99 + free shipping. So I'm hoping Amazon beats it
