Upgrading games.

So when buying xbox 360 games that are eligible to upgrade to the xbox one are we allowed to upgrade them anywhere we can upgrade? For instance if I bought Call of Duty Ghosts at gamestop will I be able to goto the Microsoft store or best buy and upgrade it there?

If you want to upgrade at GS it will only work if you bought it new from them. Everywhere else doesn't have any requirements. Just have the game and you're good to go.

If I buy the digital PS3 version of AC4 from Amazon for $51, can I still upgrade to the PS4 version for $10?

Which is basically getting the game for the PS4 for a $1.

Sony site is unclear, they say it must be purchased from the PS Store, but isn't Amazon a PS store front?
