Victorious Boxers games, which one to get?

I looked thru the huge thread on the Victorious Boxers 2, but no real consensus on if it's good or not. Any comments on how it compares to the first?

Just to make sure, Victorious Boxers 1 is a good game correct?

I finished the series and it was quite awesome

I have number 1 and it is a good game. Never played the second one though.

Have both, loved the first, second was ok. I'd definately suggest starting with VB1, but VB2 isn't a bad pickup at $10.

Get VB2, it's easier to find brand new, with a much bigger character roster and better graphics. Both games are good, and essentially the same in terms of mechanics, but VB2 goes much further into the manga. VB1 ends shortly after the anime series.

I found VB1 at my local EBstop today. It was 3.99 before my EDGE card. I think the final price was 3.7x. Throw 'er on the olde backlog.
