Video editing freeware?

I know many people use Windows Movie Maker but I have Windows 2000 so I can't use it. What are some other good ones?

Do you recommend any? It never really criticizes any of them. I'm only looking to cut video and add audio right now.

vdubmod is definitely pure win. I'd go here and d/l the knot rippack 2, so that you'll have the right codecs to encode the video (this package also include vdubmod).
