Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

There's plenty of the toad wiiu controllers by me. I could go check tomorrow if anyone else is looking for them and ship them to you.
How much? Was hoping somebody would be willing to sell an official nintendo nunchuk and wii remote plus for $20 shipped (should cover cost of the two as well as shipping).

Have you guys heard about store managers telling employees to just store these clearance items in the back or somewhere? What's the reasoning behind this? The store I was at yesterday that reported having the pro controller, nunchuk, and wii remote plus all show plenty of stock... but they were nowhere to be found. Asked an associate if they had a clearance section, and she said that the manager has all that crap locked up somewhere. The fuck . Would buy this stuff in a heartbeat as it's super cheap, if they actually have it, but instead it's just sitting in the back of the store somewhere.
Sadly stores keeping clearance items in the back is super common in my area for "space issues". The real fun thing is when these games go on clearance it actually deletes the information in the system showing that it is still in the back room so if an employee tries to look it up it'll say it's not back there. My local store has at least 10 games in the back but every time I go its always the same old guy working who just claims everything is stolen because he doesn't want to go look (his co-workers usually are able to find every single game I've had them check for in the back room).

It makes sense though. The best way to clear out items is to keep them in the back so no one can buy them :wall: :wall: :wall:

Sometimes it takes determination (and most importantly, a very friendly demeanor), multiple trips and talking to multiple people. That's how I was able to get those two Canon rebels for $60 at my store.

From what I call tell, the best time to do this is early in the morning. The employees in electronics seem to be much nicer and more helpful when no one is in the store. Just my two cents.

True, I forgot that, but officially you can only get from Nintendo and Gamestop. We'll see how long they last from Nintendo, but Gamestop will probably have it for awhile.
Not sure if they were ever exclusive in the past, but I saw a Yoshi one at my local Best Buy for $28 yesterday, so you can probably find them elsewhere, too.

Damn I hate the people at my Walmart. But for deals I will try to mend fences. This is going to be painful.

Of course it would be down to $15 after I bought it for $30. Wonder if I can return it then buy it back?
Yeah same thing with me ima go buy the last one at my walmart and just return the 30 one. I dont need a receipt right cuz I threw it away damn lol.

As I understand it, if you return something without a receipt, your refund amount will reflect the current price. So if you bought something at $30, and return it now that it's been discounted to $15, you will only receive $15.

So if I return it to a walmart that sales it for 60 I can get 60 or what

Success! Got a different cashier, rang up other the upc.

When I was buying, I saw the guy from a few days ago, then it sounded like he hit the counter as I walked away. Maybe I was right, he was wanting them?

There were about 5-6 Toad Wiimote Plus controllers at the Ashland, KY walmart if anyone is close by and needs one. They were all marked $10 and locked in the Wii U display case. Thought about getting some but I already have way to many wiimotes and I don't care much for the toad design anyways.

Thanks for your post. Decided to take a rainy Sunday drive to Ashland and found the last 4 Toad Wii Remotes. Picked them up for me and my friends.

I also went to a different Walmart and found a Pink Yarn Yoshi for $4.

LBX is $15 at every single Walmart in my area, but it has been that price for several months now.  I was hoping that it would drop to $7 or so by now but no dice...yet.

Success. Found Darth Vader Dualshocks for $30. The lady helping me looked everywhere so it took almost 45 minutes.

A guy from Layaway pointed at the boxes and said to her, "Save two of these for me." I said, "Nope, I'm buying those." Then, the lady said, "Fool, these were in the glass for forever. I know you seen them. Now they gone. You missed it, boo."

:lol:  Before I left, I bought her a pack of Reese's Cups (her choice). Difficult to find a Walmart employee like her. Very helpful AND entertaining.

You couldn't save any for him? How many did you need? :)

So they were behind the glass where they keep all the games or in the layaway section? This info might prove useful next time items says instock but they are not on the floor with all the games.

I found skate 3 for Xbox 360 for 5. Picked up a Wii U sensor bar for 6. No luck on any wii motes. But i also grabbed a link Archer amiibo and a link Rider for 15 each. Not really into the amiibos but anything Zelda is hot right now so I figured why not.

Anyone had the blue wii remote plus actually scan? Checked today and it showed $19 on the clearance tag but I couldn't find an associate to help. Did get the sensor bar for $4 and a nunchuck for $5.

Went to the closest Walmart showing the Xbone controllers for $15. BS said 3 in stock all day. Looked all over electronics myself before asking an associate for help. He looked through the window lock infront of me and then said he would go check in back in "the cage" and came back out empty handed.

I asked him to search the SKU or UPC for me but said they aren't able to do that.

Now here's the suspicious thing...stock changed from 3 to 2 while I was in the store.

Lots of stores nearby showing stock at retail so I don't think I've completely missed but that just struck me as off.

I don't think the online availability changes THAT quickly, so that might be a coincidence. I think it takes a few hours to reflect online.

I know when I bought the CoD drone the stock available changed online within 10 minutes via BrickSeek.

So idk. But the point stands that one was sold so at least one was there today but likely 2 more somewhere.

I just have a mistrust of retail employees when it comes to deals. Walmart especially. Folks acting shady.

I'll conduct an experiment later today. ;)

It would have to be many experiments. Otherwise you won't know if it just happens to update at fixed times that are near when you bought it or a certain amount of time after you bought it. When I bought something the other day, it took about an hour, maybe more.

some might get set aside for employees to buy after their shift- I know at a different retail entity I worked for we def set aside some of the markdown items to buy for ourselves. The pay is crap in those places so I would never begrudge basically the only perk of working at a place like that.

The paranoia on here is comical at times re: the employee obviously was lying, etc!

Judging by your comment the paranoia is apparently justified... Between lazy employees and sly ones I'd have trouble giving anyone working at Walmart of all places the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not saying your wrong for taking advantage of perks the job provides you access to, but you are also justifying my "paranoia" by confirming it doew happen.

If you do it, countless others do as well no doubt.

There is nothing wrong with working at Walmart. A job is better than no job. But there is a difference in quality of employees between Walmart and Target. That's not to say Target employees are 100% honest with customers but I don't FEEL like I'm being lied to at times.

when they say they can't check the UPC they are lying. Next time ask if they mind punching the UPC into their hand scanner to see if they have any on hand. If they refuse, ask for a manager.

Hey guys, I have been trying to go through the thread to keep up with the deals but just to make sure, the latest ones are the different Wiimotes and nunchucks and the armed forces Xbox One controller correct?  I will be heading to a walmart tomorrow to get some Wiimotes but want to make sure I don't miss anything.  I don't see any Walmarts with the armed forces controller for $15.

The character Wiimotes I bought reflected instantly on brickseek. For the $15 Xbox controllers it showed a case of 12 on hand. Helpful employee retrieved from the case from the back and I took two. I saw the full case of 12. Told several people of the deal and at least two went to Walmart and returned empty handed because they were told they sold out. The number is at 7 on Brickseek right now.

A Wal Mart about 20-30 min away has 20+ of those Xbox controllers, but still priced at $60 according to BS. That'd be worth the drive.

I can't find any so looking to buy NIB Peach/Yoshi/Luigi/Mario Wiimote+, and NIB Pro Controller. LMK if selling or interested in trading, thanks
