Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

I tried to get some tender cuts beef jerky. My store says it has 9 units still in stock but they must have taken them off the floor because I couldn't find them anywhere. Lame. The moment it got cheap enough to actually buy and they take them off the floor. The same thing happened to the printer paper. It was like $2 a pack of 500 pages. I was able to grab em while the associates still hadn't zoned all the way and got one pack. The next day they were gone even though brickseek said they should have still had some units left.

They may be on the floor but difficult to find. Funny story: I was sitting at Walmart waiting on a grocery pickup when I read Jurai’s post. So after getting the groceries I pulled around to the front and went inside. I walked back to the grocery section and the clearance Jack Link’s weren’t there. An employee told me that beef jerky is also at the registers, and it turns out they are all over the front of the story. I finally found the clearance jerky at the fourth location I checked.

Same story for me. The clearance jerky is sold in smaller sizes so it is located by the front registers. You may have to search through just about every lane.

Yeah I couldn't find any of the discounted ones, it looks as though the individual beef steak strip ones (ie. teriyaki) got phased out with a newer version packaging wise which must be why they got clearanced.

There were a bunch that were listed on Brickseek at my store but they were not anywhere in the store.  Must have already been put in the back.

Meijer also had clearanced out a few bags of jerky (Jack Links, I think) that they keep at the checkout lines.  I picked up two bags for about a buck a piece.  Peppered flavor...not the best, but the price was right.  Also nice that one of the bags being six months past its freshness date didn't cause any adverse reactions.  I mean, it's jerky and it's sealed so it can't be that bad.

CAG has turned into slick deals. The desperation has got as low as vacuums and beef jerky.

CAG has turned into slick deals. The desperation has got as low as vacuums and beef jerky. Really there should be rules don't post non video game deals on a video game deal forum. Imagine if everyone posted vacuum deals only.
I like to think most appreciate other non-gaming related deals. Not like it hurts you or anyone to have those deals posted.

Meh, seems odd to even point it out since it doesn't hinder the site and allows for more discussion, something CAG needs.

The site would be pretty dead if it was strictly limited to video game deals. I appreciate people posting any clearance they find and generally speaking I think that is what keeps these threads moving. I find I end up noticing clearance deals from Walmart/Target more often through this site than any other and in the case of Slickdeals it usually ends up being somebody reposting a clearance deal that somebody he posted days/weeks before SD's noticed it.

I'm pretty happy with my $79 49"LG 4K TV and $35 4K Blu Ray Player thank you very much.

This thread would have activity about three times a year if only games were discussed here...

I went to the Walmart in Andover, MN a week or so ago and found a number of games on clearance there. I picked up Shadow of the Colossus for PS4 for $9 and a USB-C extension cable for Switch for $5, looks to be $3 there now.

Blackweb Switch Usbc 6' Extension Cable: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=902601822
Been buying the USB-C extension cables by the ton when they hit $7, since I have quite a few USB-C devices. Another dozen or so sounds perfect.

Thanks for posting the vacuum deals Jurai.   Got a Roomba 801 for $109 this morning for the upstairs.  The self checkout clerk, who has worked at the store for years along with his wife, thought something fishy was going on because of the $349 clearance price tag.  I told him it dropped in price and showed him on the Walmart ap.  Then I told him there was one left if he wanted to let his wife know.  Patted me on the back and said "Absolutely!"

Went for the Beef Jerky today at one near me.  First guy I asked told me all the jerky and slim jims were on the floor near the front or to check clearance.  Seemed really busy. I couldn't find them so asked another worker.  She told me to check the clearance section.  Asked another guy near the clearance section and he scans in some barcodes and takes me to the clearance section and said they should all be here. Nothing there.  I am over it at this point but make one last effort and call the store.  I get through to the head of the food department and tell him what's going on and I give him some upc numbers and he says the store should have them but he doesn't see any on the floor so he will go check the back.  5 min later, he comes back on and tells me he checked all over and could only find the $1 prime rib Jerky.  I didn't give him all the different UPC's but it turns out it's the very first guy I asked that helped me on the phone.  I met him and he handed me a box with 12 packages inside.  I thanked him and checked out.

There is another Walmart that states they have a bunch in stock that I will be passing by tomorrow so I will try again.  This time, if I don't see them on the floor, I will give the person in the back all the UPC codes for all the different ones on clearance.  At least I was able to get something today.  My guy is telling me the other boxes are just sitting in the back somewhere buried but hey, the guy was nice enough to check for me and I have no clue what the back looks like so maybe it's a huge mess and it was a miracle he found anything.

Got all the items today via pick up for the Xbox One S bundle deal (that's now showing OOS). I think, however, I am going to return the unopened RDR2 game. I can probably get it cheaper anyway after the holidays (if not before). Either way, I didn't do bad I don't think with the system and 2 extra controllers (yes, they are wired but I don't mind that honestly).

Yes, big thanks for that post! Also got an 801 for $109! BS listed my next door store as limited stock and walmart's website listed no stock, but I looked anyway and there was one there marked $350. The self checkout lady did a double take as she took off the spiderwrap and I thought she was going to deny the sale from her facial expression, but she went on her way. My wife will love getting a vacuum for Christmas since it lightens her load. Thought about getting a 680 at a store 25 minutes away for the finished basement, but thought I should just replace the battery in our old 400 series instead. It died when it was in storage for four months when we moved and we never replaced it. After some looking online, the $25ish replacement batteries seem to die within 3-6 months and the OEM batteries are $70. Might as well try for the $79 680 instead.

Not super happy with the vacuum we bought when we moved so I'm going to look into those vacuums as some are available around here, too.

Thinking about that Sanyo 4K player, but I did just get an Xbone X. Heard stand alones are generally better. May get it and then see what BF deals shake loose. There's an LG that hits $80 or so every so often.

Hey guys got a question. For those who got the Fallout 76 Collectors Edition preordered from Walmart what day does your package say it's supposed to arrive?

I tend to buy stuff other than video games because I'm an adult, and it's nice to get the cheap disposable shit most stores sell these days at a discount. Keep the non-gaming deals coming.

If these guys aren't trying to save money on the other items that they buy regularly, they're doing it wrong. The less money that you spend on other items, the more money you have left over for gaming purchases. It's not anyone's fault that the chains don't have more clearance deals on video game stuff. The heyday of those types of constant widespread clearances is over. Stores don't order as many copies of games as they used to. They better head back in time to when Circuit City and Toys R Us were still open if they want to see that. So we can only take what we can get clearance-wise.

My local Walmarts never have games on clearance. Everything I find at them on clearance is non-gaming related. Got a nice 4K TV on clearance earlier this year thanks to a Brickseek link on here.

One of the MSI gaming laptops. 256GB SSD+1TB HDD original price $1200 is ringing up 50% off at $599 at my store. I can't for the life of me remember which one though and I didn't have the foresight of taking a picture of the barcode. I'll see if I can get a barcode tomorrow if anybody's interested. And I'm almost positive I remember it being OOS online at walmart.com.
