Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

Well, for anyone in NE Ohio, they don't have the Fallout 76 PS4 steelbook for $15, but a lot of the stores up here have it for $40

It's that time of year when my local Walmart clearances out their black friday electronics. I came in today after work for a $300 HP Gaming Laptop https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=483750580

While I was their picking them up they dropped their Minecraft Xbox One S bundle to $100, an Xbox One X console for $200 Fallout 76 Steelbook and Diablo for $15.

If anyone is near the San Carlos Fort Myers Beach, FL Walmart, they still had 10+ Xbox One S for $100 and their clearance games were in the clearance isle, not in electronics.

My haul.

I'm 162 miles away in Ocala. 3 hour drive. Would you get one to ship a CAG.

Lol these prices would never be here in Southern California everything sells out regardless of it being normal MSRP
Yeah. I gave up on trying to find stuff even if brickseek says they have stock. SoCal market is good for initial stock, but discounts get eaten up quickly.

Stopped by Ft Myers Wal-Mart this morning around 8, and the guy in electronics told me they were sold out and someone came in over night and bought 10 of the Xbox One S Minecraft bundles.

not entirely surprising they got cleared out, the moment anyone in that area looked up the UPC/SKU it would load into Brickseek's pricing records page and be evident to anybody on there with an account, which are mostly resellers

edit: if you actually want to keep the hot deal you found in store to CAG folk and not every person on BS, don't go run and look it up there, the pricing records page updates all the entries for that area if someone scans their zipcode

Maaannni seriously want that Fallout 76!!!

So, I used to live JUST north of that store in Port Charlotte.  That store was so jewie that they had at least 50 sets of PS2 memorycards and their clearance price was 19 dollars from 19.96

There are times I have gone to hunt down a deal from brick seek, and it says it's X price and when I get there it's normal fucking price.

Do they just need to total it out or something, or is brickseek just shit sometimes.

Check the actual Walmart app while you are inside the store with that store selected

They did the same last year too. I got two limited edition WWII PS4's for $150 each and they had two pallets of different Xbox One S bundles for $125 each.
Oh yeah, you're the guy I don't know from Adam who I hated last year around this time too. :mrgreen:

That store still have any of the 32" Samsung Curved Monitors? The one I nabbed last year on Clearance was the best tech related purchase I've made in eons. I regret not grabbing the other one that was there.

I've seen a few already at $128 so stay vigilant, you'll likely get one this year too.

Oh man, I would love to pick up those Hori controllers for $7. Lowest is apparently $1, but they're all $19 around me and OOS.

My walmart shows stock of 5 and when I went there found none in clearance. The hori pad for switch.

Hori Pad is OOS @ $7 in all surrounding stores.  There's one store nearby with 3 in stock for $13.  Think I'll keep an eye out and see if they drop.  Not a huge deal for me, as I have a Pro and I'll be using GC controllers for Smash, but it would be nice to track one down ust to test it out.

While at Walmart to pickup the $7 horipads for switch I stumbled upon some $5 games leftover from black Friday

Warioware gold https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=839416551

Mario Party star rush  https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=54270686

La noire Switch https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=438147921

Shadow of the Colossus  ps4 https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=814118369

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Switch https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=390155651

Only one store in my area has these markdowns. Good luck!

Man, SotC for $5 is a steal. Every store in my area is still retail price, unfortunately.

Went to three walmarts that showed stock on brickseek for the hori controller and checked the electronics and all the clearance and found none. One store showed 7 another 5 and last 3.

As I have said in the past brickseek is the most unreliable source to check for stock. Most of my major scores ive gotten showed no stock on brickseek and when I went or called they had it. Got my laptop, TV, and PS gold headset like that.

If Brickseek stopped existing it wouldn't matter to me one bit. They have never showed a accurate stock or even close.

Man, my walmarts must have not gotten the clearance memo. Everything that's been posted is still full price at every store around me.

Yeah, WM markdowns are a bit weird. Stores have 3 ways of marking down.

1. Upper level markdowns which are done on a corporate level. Items will automatically be marked down without management (store level) interaction.

2. Store markdown. These are still mark downs sent from upper level but the store scans each item and manually changes the prices / update stickers.

3. Manager markdown. Each store has markdown money which can be used to clear out old inventory and discount items. That's where you get stores like the one that had the $100 XB1S or the $5 games. This isn't nationwide and you shouldn't expect other stores to have the same pricing or eventually have the same price.

Other stores may not even mark down items as they (store level or upper level) feels as though those items will sell at the price they are at. That's why you still see full price PS2 games. Other times items are deleted (after having no register or scanner activity) after a certain time. Deleted items can not be markdowned as they aren't in the system anymore.

When looking for clearance items, they may not be in the clearance section. They usually have no location. They could be in a box in the stock room so it's hard to judge. So even if BS or WM shows stock, you still have to find the item and hope it isn't lost, stolen or an incorrect inventory count.

The problem is with Walmart store inventories. If you go to the store and have an employee look up the item, they'll find the same number you saw on brickseek with no idea where the stock is.

Yup. Happens to me all the time at multiple walmarts showing multiple stock. And the employees have no clue.

They'll be like my store shows I have X many in stock, but no where to be found.

I went to three walmarts that all showed the hori controller was clearance and in stock. Many stock, get there check every where and nothing.

like I say it makes brickseek very unreliable. My best scores came when brickseek showed no stock and I would randomly call one not too far away and to my surprise they end up having just one left.

About the only accurate thing on brickseek is the price it is for which stores. But not the stock.

My zip for the $5 games was 14221. It was the only store in town that had them marked down. The logic of walmart markdowns is hard to understand
There’s a smaller Walmart about 20 miles away whose game section is packed. They seemingly get EVERYTHING in, it doesn’t sell and eventually every couple years the manager does a purge. Plenty of 5/10 games, one odd thing is many of their products don’t show on brickseek or the WalMart app. It’s seems like they purposely adjust the inventory.

I hate this thread, it gets me excited about things that I can't find. Then I get on a mission and end up researching normal items. In this case robot vacuums. Pretty sure I'm going to pick one up today at Target, on sale plus the 20% coupon.

Hope someone is able to use this $10 off 50 or more. It's only good through today and has a list of exclusions as long as my arm but have at it!

Gotta love it,  the  Lutz, FL store that still wants $53 for Enemy Territory Quake Wars for PS3 decided to drop the wave of amiibo that came out YESTERDAY to $4.

Supposedly still 1 Ridley left, though i wouldnt hold my breath.

*EDIT*

Looks like another store in tampa has them for $7.  My only guess is these stores clearanced out the old wave of the Smash Amiibos and the new ones are still attached to the same assortment?
