Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

I must be living in the wrong area - every single store near me has both of these at $299 still.
Ditto. I have no real place to put one, but if one dropped to $150 I find a place. I get the feeling most of these are leftovers from Black Friday that didn't move as expected and take up to much shelf space.

Same deal here... still three hundred clams. I dunno, these things aren't real arcade quality, although they're a good sight better than the junk Midway was selling in Target ten years ago. If you're willing to replace the controllers with good ones and pop in a Raspy Pi, you've got a pretty good substitute for an arcade cabinet. Then again, if you do all that, what's in the package that's of any use to you? The plywood cabinet and an LCD screen, pretty much. If you've got a way to cut your own wood you wouldn't even need that.

It's that time of year when my local Walmart clearances out their black friday electronics. I came in today after work for a $300 HP Gaming Laptop https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/?sku=483750580

While I was their picking them up they dropped their Minecraft Xbox One S bundle to $100, an Xbox One X console for $200 Fallout 76 Steelbook and Diablo for $15.

If anyone is near the San Carlos Fort Myers Beach, FL Walmart, they still had 10+ Xbox One S for $100 and their clearance games were in the clearance isle, not in electronics.

My haul.

Let me know when there's deals going on like this in our area. I stopped by today to see what was left. They had the X-Box One S still available but unfortunately at $230~ on the reader.

Edit: Btw, where is the clearance isle?

Because nobody wants to pay $300 for these, the only one worth even getting really is street fighter and even then, it’s been released 400 times since it came out.

I’d gladly pay 150, 200 maybe as I’ve always wanted a street fighter or mortal kombat machine, but I can’t justify more than that when you can do a custom cabinet for not much more.

As soon as I saw those mini arcade cabinets I knew they were destined for clearance.  They're expensive, take up a ton of shelf space, and are somehow both too small and too big for anyone who would want one.

Eww I can't believe some of you actually have interest in those Wal-mart branded arcade cabinets. That is cheap garbage marketed toward the collectard market. For $150-200 dollars you can do a lot better. That's meant for people with money burning a hole in their pocket. Even the mini ones are garbage. I avoid that whole isle in the electronics department.

I might pay like $20 bucks for one. And I have plenty of space for one. Honestly I wouldn't even pay $20 unless it was to resell. I wouldn't even want one for free, only to resell.

I had the exact same thoughts. I already saw it go on clearance at multiple wal-marts. It takes too much of their shelf space.

Perhaps it's not what you meant, but the Arcade1up machines are not Wal-mart branded, but there are a couple that are exclusive to Wal-mart.

Regardless, they will likely all be clearanced out. I actually saw the 12-in-1 version at Kohls this weekend, 5 stacked in the middle of one of the aisles.

I have noticed Micro Center is starting to carry some DIY arcade cabinets, but not much info on them. One is a bartop and the other appears to be a full size one. Sold out at the location near me. I recall seeing a Twitter post about them, both an assembled and unassembled version being available.

Cost is more than the Arcade1up machines and looks like you need to supply your own screen and other parts.

The Minecraft Creator bundle was the one marked down to $100. The regular Minecraft bundle, which looks similar, was $230.

Their clearance isle is at the end of the toy section next to the garden area. Games were scarce when I went back on Saturday.

Thanks for the post, that 570-p013wb sounds like a perfect Christmas gift for family. $199 to $249 near me.

Brickseek is such trash.

Went all the way to BFE to get one of the HP bundles and it’s not there. So I attempt to ask a lady who works there. Do you think she spoke English? Of course not.

Straight up pathetic.

Brickseek is very open that it's not a source of Truth, also hating on the lady for not speaking English is fucked up, maybe you shouldn't stay on this site my guy

It’s one thing to not speak English, it’s another to not even check when I asked her about the computer “just no no we don’t have”.

Yeah I’m sure she knew exactly what I was talking about.

BS is now saying to upgrade to Premium now to see the rest of my stores (can only see 4 stores now, compared to 15 before). Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Anyone know if this is a good computer for the Elgato 60 game capture?

You could run it, but you'd probably want a discreet GPU instead of the onboard Intel 630, and that would probably require you to upgrade the PSU to more than 180W. But the case and motherboard are custom size, and you might not be able to fit certain PSUs and GPUs in it.

I got one of these a couple weeks ago-- it's a beast and my only small problems are the really flaky touchpad (it's a gaming PC though, so honestly how much will you use it) and the kinda creaky plastic shell-- neither *actually* bother me since I paid $499 for a laptop with a 1050Ti and an 8th-gen i7.

They’ve both got a 1050TI, I’d personally go with the MSI over HP if the price is comparable, but there’s not going to be much difference.

Probably a bit more bloatware on the HP

Thank you. I believe the HP is $479 compared to the MSI which is $499. The HP looks to be more readily available per Brickseek, where I'd have to do some work to get my hands on the MSI. Most stores by me are showing Limited for the MSI or OOS.

FYI if you get one of those laptops with the 1050, the previous stable Nvidia driver had a ton of reports of issues with that driver and the laptop 1050's underclocking the cards for some reason, nvidia just dropped a new driver but I don't know if they fixed that issue or not, they do have this note '[Notebook][3D games]: Frame rate of 3D games may drop to under 30 fps on notebooks. [2456653]'

Don't be ridiculous. If you live, and especially work, in America, you speak English. It's that simple. I'm very pro-immigration, but I don't understand how someone who doesn't speak English can get hired. It's hard to learn? Maybe, but what good is an employee to the employer that is unable to help customers?

A store I have been watching for a drop on the Arcade1up machines just increased the price back to MSRP. Another store still has the price marked down.

Evolve should also be $5 used at GS for both systems, though I did only check the XB1 version. I think the single player version is very basic. It was the 4v1 game that borrowed from Left 4 Dead and evolved into games like Dead by Daylight.

It looks like it was part of Games with Gold in March, 2017 for Xbox One. So if you had Xbox Gold around that time, you may have the game already.

On a serious note, I need to put a reminder on my calendar to reach out to you after BF next year. There's some orgs around here I would love to donate some newer systems to, particularly the Special Ed Cooperative I worked at up until I made the switch to running my business full time this past June. Those kids eyes would light up like Christmas, pun intended. I would gladly pay the price and freight for them.

Either Brickseek is bugging out or there's a Walmart out there in the country that got into the Christmas spirit because a lot of games including Persona 5 are showing up 'As Low As $1.00".
