Fellow CAGs,

I am usually content to simply lurk, but after my experience today at Best Buy with their D&D Cartoon DVD sets I felt I needed to issue a cautionary warning.

The Best Buy set comes with a small figurine that at first glance looks like it's made of pewter, much like the miniatures used to play D&D itself (turns out it's plastic). This miniature is contained within a small rectangular clear plastic casing that is GLUED to the top of the actual DVD case.

Said case has no plastic covering or any protection of any kind, so if and when you attempt to remove the flimsy plastic case more than likely the cover of the DVD casing will get ripped as mine did. It was absolutely imbecilic to glue the plastic casing containing the figurine to the box itself prior to shrinkwrapping rather than after, but it appears as though that's how the manufacturer packaged all of them.

I hope some of you can avoid the torn case I was unable to.
