I was at the store yesterday afternoon with a friend when my phone rang. I checked it real quick, noticed it was a number I didn't know and assumed it must be some company calling about an application I've submitted. Not wanting to answer it in a noisy and crowded place, I silenced it figuring that there'd be a voice mail and I'd return the call later.
When I didn't get a voice mail buzz a couple minutes later, I looked at my phone again and notice something strange, the number was only 9 digits long. I tried to call back only to get a "your call can't be completed as dialed message."
Today about 15 minutes ago, the same number called, but unfortunately I was in another room and didn't notice it. I attempted to look up the supposed area code, 494, and it doesn't exist.
Could this be a foreign number? Or is some evil spirit going to eat my soul if I answer?
