:dunce:

So I'm looking at the link, trying to figure out what BJU is.
Then I click it and immediately see the words Bob Jones University.
And suddenly everything made sense.

Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating when visiting homes in town and may not attend movie theaters.

WOW! I should have gone here! What do think happens if they find people visiting porn sites from the college internet?

"Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating when visiting homes in town and may not attend movie theaters."

....
JESUS shaq-fuing CHRIST! WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL IS THAT?!?!?!
Drop the shaq-fuing part and you've got it.

Oh, I'd love to. Hell, I'd just love to be able to drive through the campus playing the most obscene music I have at full volume. With the windows down.
Imagine all the sexual energy BJU female students have pent up...
Oh I doubt that they would even considering letting a guy feel them up before marriage, probably won't even open mouth kiss.
Most of our high school textbooks are from Bob Jones. :D

...
say what you will, he makes a mean sausage.

and the koolaid is top notch

The school is strict and hard, but at least I didn't have to worry about any fools or gangs like high school.

They’re looking into accreditation as we speak.

They have campus police and cooperation with the city police, and besides what would it prove.

Oh yeah, I figured they'd have plenty of security, it'd just be a (admittedly rather stupid) pipe dream. And it would appease my mischevious side. But yeah, this place really freaks me out. It takes things way too much to the extreme.

That's good...

At first BJU sucked, but after I realized most of the rules were there because: A) It's an international school B)It's a small private university that needs to keep order

Then I got over myself and looked toward learning something.

Many people are sent there when they aren't ready for it, it takes commitment and some compromise, but I think it was worth it.

Sort of like the military.

What do you mean?

I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 back when I could first play kool aid man, centipede, space invaders, and defender

Funny, you'd probably be the only people to think that, but just so you know I went to public everything before I went there, even a community college.

I grew up in a middle working class family with a sister.. dad is not a christian ... mom is. Dad hates christians.... Bad situations make up many of the stories I heard while at school. It's not easy believing in things nowadays.

You could play at BJU, you could play all the systems, but just check certain titles first... like GTA probably wouldn't be allowed there.

Poor thing.
They probably have a "no black people allowed" rule too.
No, look at their home page, there is a black person very prominently displayed on there.
They probably have a "no black people allowed" rule too.
Not to my knowledge. Interracial dating, on the other hand...
They probably have a "no black people allowed" rule too.
One of my best friends from there is black. He's from the Congo, Africa, but has moved to Wisconsin.
so what if he was sheltered? If he went there, and enjoyed/bettered himself, who are we to judge?
I'm pretty sure that while its not a written rule, they probably frown upon "enjoying yourself".

Interracial dating is allowed, it was basically a rule made for other countries anyway. Many countries don't like sending there kids to a school and having them hook up with an american.
so what if he was sheltered? If he went there, and enjoyed/bettered himself, who are we to judge?
True, but people generally fear what they don't understand, in addition to things to which they've had little or no exposure. Seeing the world for what it is is a part of bettering oneself.

I should have seen that one coming a mile away, but I still stand by my statement.
