What about those CD/DVD repair kits/devices?

Anyone use these things before? how are the results? any recommendations on types/brands?

I had some success with those little packets of goop they sell at gamestop for like 2 bucks on one of those mega disk falling off inside the 360 circle scratches. However, it certainly took awhile to get it to work, but at present the game works fine (whereas before it was unplayable)
 
I actually use the goop stuff from the dollar store (most brands seem to work). I can't get a mangled disaster to work, but really, after cleaning, I would say 80-90% of the bad looking discs at Gamestop run flawlessly.

So, for as cheap as it is, I recommend it.
