Basically what happened was, 4 "kids"....3 16yr olds and 1 17yr old went to a house home invasion style.
One had a legit gun, 2 had bb guns.
Just before 2am-
One of the residents of the house wakes up to the commotion and grabs his gun to investigate. When he gets out to the front room area, one of the intruders pointed a gun at him. He immediately started firing his gun and retreated.
2 died at the scene, 1 is still in the hospital to this day I believe. The 17yr old got out without a scratch and ran. When the cops showed up a few mins later, he came back, so he was caught and arrested.
Its ruled a home invasion and the resident that fired in "self defense" was not charged.
People claim that this place had an open door policy. Others claim they were drug dealers. Between the time the shots were fired, and the cops got there, put everyone on lockdown and searched the house etc etc...nothing was found to show that there was anything illegal in that house.
A statement released by the PD says that the 17yr old claims they were there to rob the place of the "high quality" weed.
Ive been following this story since it went down. I graduated where these kids went to school, and Im very familiar with the town they tried this robbery, so Im a bit interested in it.
I find it amazing that some people are trying to victimize these kids as "angels" and that they were good kids and never did anything wrong and theyre crying foul because the resident that shot and killed 2 out of the 4 isnt being charged with ANYTHING.
I dont think they deserved to die, but I do believe they brought it on themselves, and I dont feel bad about what the resident did...assuming every piece of info released is fact.
