What is this mystery cable?

Hi please let me know if this is the wrong spot to post in.

Ok so a few weeks back I bought a wireless 360 controller at a thrift store, and this cord was attached to it (as pictured) in the bottom of the controller, it has the look and feel of 360 cords, but I can't find a picture similar to this cord online, any help is appreciated.

thanks guys, I'll have to go back and see if they have a headset laying around (they just keep everything electronic in large bins).
