What time would be a good time to wait for the ps3?

I have to work, but I'm thinking of skipping. What do you guys think would be a realistic time to start waiting, eg midnight on the 16th, 5pm on the 16th etc?

Also, anyone know which chain is suppose to get the most ps3 systems? Thanks!
