It's New Year's Eve, and only a few hours remain until it is time to bring in the New Year. So, like the thread title says, what goal(s) do you have for 2007?

As for myself:
- Spend half as much money on video games in 2007, than I did in 2006.
- Pack on 10 lbs. of muscle.
- Become proficient in Photoshop.

don't have one.

Why lie to myself about doing something. I rather just tell myself what I need to do and get it done all year round.

-Spend a shit load LESS on video games, dvd's and CD's

-Stop eating the slop they serve for 3 bucks at work

-excerise either every day or a few times a week.

-Try to go to Miami to visit my friend since its been 6 years.

-See Conan O'brien in NYC

-Stop eating junk food by 90%

-Save money

I would spend less on video games, but those cheapass deals are too fucking hard to pass up, with $10-20 deals and the average rental is $8 and whatnot. So no point in keeping that resolution.

These arent resolutions but things I'd like to have happen:

Get promoted to Accountant II
Move to a nice townhouse/apt close to work
Lose 35 pounds (which I start striving for Jan 2)
Buy a 42"+ hdtv and a Bose 321 surround sound

Write my book.

I've been kicking around an idea for the past few months but if I can just do 4 pages a day; I should be done sometime in May.
-Lose some fat, gain some muscle
-Make a game(Masters degree independent study)
-Make an album(go fruity loops)
-Make a website

- Spend less (I already don't spend all that much, but I'd like to strive for less).
- Work out more.
- Run some more.
- Be more friendly to the people I work with.
- Get another job.
- Have $25,000 in the bank by this time next year.
- Continue to do well in college.
- Study for the LSAT.

Concerning sites like this, stop posting. except when asking a question or thanking a poster for pertinent info.

Oh, and for so many of you, by the way...

"...you're wel-come!!"

Pretty much a combination of a few peoples' list:

Lose weight and gain muscle (goal is to drop to 180ish)
Spend less on entertainment purchases (try to keep it less than $200 a month)
Get a decent sized HDTV
Get out of credit card debt and save up around $10k
Get a better paying job
Get closer with my family
some will be added later

I believe last year my goal was to not buy a PS3/360 and to clear a lot of PS1 games. I failed on the PS1 games. I did succeed in the goal of clearing one game on average every 2 weeks for the entirety of 2006 (32 games I believe)

For 2007:
Clear 26+ games
Get better at Go
Stay single
Secondarily, ban on PS3/360/HDTV/Online Gaming continues

2007 is probably going to be the biggest year of my life as things both professionally and personally are coming to together.

1. First the usual: hit the gym regularly (at least 3 times/week) and lose 10-15 lbs before July (getting married)

2. Pass my boards.

3. Not kill anyone in my first year as a real doctor.

4. Write a symphony.

1.Go to the gym at least 3 times a week
2.Pass all of my classes, getting at least a 3.5 GPA
3.Get a woman
4.?
5.Profit

I think step 3 leads to the exact opposite of getting profit :)

Have you passed the USMLE yet?

This year (2006) I actually kept my new year's resolutions of cutting back on drinking, and most importantly, beginning and maintaining a workout regimen. I've gained 30+ pounds and counting.

I've struggled to come up with resolutions for '07, but I think I'll go with the following:

1. Continue working out and gain 25-30 more pounds. I like to set the bar high. :p

2. Practice playing guitar and singing at least 5 days per week, so that Ican return to (and then exceed) my previous levels of talent and....

3. Form a band. It's been years since I have played in a band. Me, Aaron (bass), and a drummer... We'll rock your fucking face off.

4. Go to school. This is something I've been wanting to do for years. Whether or not I get this chance depends on finances, which is what has stopped me thus far.

5. Finally, I need to improve my judgment in the relationship department. While I've gotten more girls this year than any previous year, I seem to always fall for girls who are manipulative, crazy, slutty, liars, cheaters, or a combination of those. I just want to find a good one.

I guess that's it. There's a little over 3 hours til 2007 and my friends should be arriving any minute... wish me luck!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'm passed my USMLE's. The one I'm worried about is my specialty boards which are a day long oral exam.

Happy New Year everyone!

Can't say you're wrong, but college gives everyone a good opportunity :)

To appease the PS3 by playing it more and feeding it less xbox games.

And....to take a drive to Redmond, and pee on Nintendo's gate. I shall also leave a nasty note saying we would like our own version of the Nintendo Club.

That is all.

- Save more
- Start networking at school
- stop being shy
- put myself towards school and work more
- get out my parents house by my birthday
- better grades and try to get etter pay
- Eat better
Not resolutions, more so achievable goals.

I am totally drunk as i write this, but....

get in good enough enough shape for the academy.

^that is all. becoming a police officer is my life.
