Where are the other colors for the Wii?

I remember seeing a pic of a red one. I'd buy that the day it came out, it looked awesome.

Nintendo came out and said a while ago that they'd rather just release the Wiimote itself in different colors over releasing various systems.

Console colors were never officially stated. Yes, when they revealed the system, it was in different colors, but they never actually committed or confirmed to making them.

If - if - they ever show up, it definitely won't be until sales slump.

So maybe 2009 or so.

a few months ago, myself and a friend were in a wal-mart and the gentleman arranging/stocking the Wii accessories section stated he was making room for the new colored Wii-motes and nunchuks. he was obviously told to do this from some sort of manager. since these have yet to make themselves present, this is apparently as of now misinformation. i just thought it was interesting.
