Where is a good place to go to read up on TV's?

My mother is going to get my dad a new TV for Xmas but has no idea what to get so she asked me to pick it out.

Where can I get some good info on the more expensive TVs? $5000 and under.

Try http://www.cnet.com . I also find that http://www.epinions.com is good for when you want to hear what others think about the product.

Avsforum is where you'll find information on how good a product is.

If you want some information about prices, about what price would be considered a good deal, you can try places like Fatwallet and Anandtech's hot deals forums. There are others out there as well, Fatwallet is probably the biggest though.

cnet is a great place. I have been reading up on the tomtom 700 and 300 and it has been very helpful
