They need to include a nice blue tooth headset in with the PS3 system.
I don't own a headset.. And probably wont buy one unless it comes with a game
(I bought the download version of warhawk)
Should of been included with Metal gear bundle at the very least.
Sony won't. They are already taking a tiny hit (they break even on the 40GB PS3, but retailer loyalties and such cause some money to be lost), so that's pretty much why PS3 has no HDMI cable or headset. IF Sony was making a good amount of money on PS3 (or was able to break even when including a headset), they'd include it. But since they are losing money by including one (if they did), they aren't going to start doing it anytime soon.
Like most others, I'm guessing because the system doesn't come with one.
And, for those people that refuse to use them, why even bother playing online? I hate when I'm playing a game like Halo, and get stuck on a team where I'm the only one with a headset.
Well, I said it before in games that can detect who has a headset, I usually see a decent amount with them on, but most prefer to not talk.
Well, if you are Type 3 NAT and you just get static (where people can't really hear you and you can't hear people too well), then why use it? Overall, there is some bluetooth communication issues on PS3 (like Warhawk mics cutting out between matches, some games doing the same, or even just using too much bandwidth), which leads to people just not using them. Let's just say using a mic on PS3 in ways, is a bit more difficult than it seems in reality (sometimes in games while trying to switch headset in game, the screen will freeze until you turn off the headset, happened to me in CoD4).
