Widescreen Issues on HDTV - Help!

Right now I have my PS3 hooked up via component cables.

I downloaded Syphon Filter and it doesn't run in widescreen. Even though I know it will be distorted...I need this stretched out due to my HDTV being a plasma.

I have gone through the settings but maybe I am missing something. Help? Thanks in advance.

If you have the latest firmware, setting the PS1/PS2 upscaling to "full" should do it. Though... stretching it out to widescreen? ewwww.

In the XMB...

Settings > Game Settings > PS/PS2 Upscaler > Full Screen
