Wii: Fragile Dreams $19.99 @ gamestop
Well, it was gutted, but not badly enough to make me not pick it up. In for one. Thank you, OP!
Same here! Thanks OP,

Went ahead and got a "new" one at Gamestop. Fortunately no scratches and the case is nice, but of course they didn't have any sealed copies.

No wonder I don't do much business there. They're lucky if they steal me away from Amazon a couple times a year.

There is really only one reason why I want this game.

Is that Orion's Belt? If so, in for three!

I managed to find one last sealed copy when I went out looking. There are two Gamestops in the local mall and both had only gutted copies. However there is a small gamestop just outside behind the mall there never gets any business. Managed to pick up the last sealed copy at that store.

Didnt see the notice before I went for Silent Hill or I would have looked for that one as well.

I havent beaten it - but I gave it 4-5 hours and it was quite enjoyable. Graphics worked well for the wii. It kinda has a Gonzo anime feel to it - the characters are simple and not defined, but the backgrounds and sky are detailed and beautiful. The story was pretty cool, and had a bit of a old RPG feel to it. Underwhelming in a good way, its hard to explain.
This game has a truly gorgeous presentation. The music, art direction, graphics, voice work (Japanese side at least), and locations create a truly unique world. The story and its characters are the sole reason you keep playing.

The game itself is absolutely terrible. Horribly clunky inventory system, wonky wiimote interaction, tedious combat, virtually endless meandering through the same few areas, backtracking galore, inadequate camera, and little to no variety in combat weapons.

It's a shame that the gameplay doesn't match the presentation, but even with all the negatives I've said, I'm still really glad I played through it. The more you delve into its story, the more alone you feel. It will undoubtedly evoke some response from you. Be it a crippling depression or a massive strain of frustration.
Like the last time this game got a thread, I pretty much agree with everything this person says, except I actually got some kind of enjoyment from the combat. Anyway, this is one of the few games I have ever played that gave me the same feeling that a great anime would, so I would highly recommend it, especially if you like anime (I would recommend the Japanese voices as well, since that's how I played it.). Might have been my GOTY last year, although the actual gameplay was lacking. Btw, here's a trailer that has English subs (The last one in this thread didn't have them). I can say with confidence that the game delivered everything that the trailer seems to offer, and it's what originally sold me on the game, so I suggest you watch it if you're interested.

I'm still hoping for an amazon price match, but I picked up a copy at GS anyways I figured I can always return it if amazon PMS. However it pisses me off I found a gutted copy at my GS that was really dirty so I went to another GS and they had a gutted copy too, but it wasn't in too bad condition, one thing that really bothers me is that they put the price sticker on top of the actual cover art meaning that you can damage the cover if peeled off (good thing the game has 2 covers). I might be okay with this if I bought this used, but this is suppose to be new.

Ridiculously enough, I went to a local Gamestop and the only "new" copy they had DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE CASE OR MANUAL. That's beyond gutted. How can it even be labeled new?

Yeah--they have tried to pull that on me before. I just say no and try to get them to explain it to me, just for giggles.

LOL what did they say? I want to hear.

I also want to hear their explanation of that.

I was able to get a sealed copy at the Gamestop I went to. I saw about four of them when the associate took a stack of games out of one of the drawers.

I was going to buy one of the Phoenix Wright games but the only copy I could find was a loose cartridge in the old GB/GBA display case. fuck that.

Nothing great. Once I got someone who had no social skills he just sort of wandered off mumbling.

Another time I got someone who insisted it was still new even though it didn't have the case. I told him that was ridiculous, and he said he could provide me with a generic case. I say "No" and left it at that.

I wish I could be more of a troll about it.
