Don't know how regional this is (GTA at least, apparently?) but I sure bit at this price.
I got the last one on display at Square One, Mississauga. There was no indication that it was selling at this price, but I asked the guy to scan it and voila.
Which store in Alberta?YMMV indeed. I just spoke with a store in Alberta where the Wii U Basic also scanned in at $149.99, but the associate on duty said that it must be an error and wouldn't sell it to me. Rubbish; I already have a Deluxe, but was thrilled to see that price for a Basic for my sister, who can't afford as much.
It was the nubgubblins in Red Deer. They were good for one thing, though; confirming the item was in stock when Future Shop price beat them at $139.99 and I left (as always) FS's loyal customer.Which store in Alberta?
How did you price match it?It was the nubgubblins in Red Deer. They were good for one thing, though; confirming the item was in stock when Future Shop price beat them at $139.99 and I left (as always) FS's loyal customer.
Even though my Target's employees earn the Wal-Mart Award for Ineptitude, the fact is still that Target is clearing out the Wii U Basic for $149.99. I proffered Future Shop a receipt from another Target that proved the price, FS confirmed with Target that the item was in stock and that the deal was not a one-day door crasher, and they matched, reducing the price by another 10% of the difference (being $99.96), as is their custom. How did you price match it?
*In Red Deer. They may mess up when it comes to shipping things in flimsy bubble mailers, but their in-store customer service is second to none*. It's no wonder FS has been my first-stop destination for entertainment for years (for brick and mortar stores, at least).
lol ya the Kingston store sucks, probably because they only had 1 or 2 in stock to begin with. It barely has any games at all.Apparently the target in Kingston, ON, sold out this morning. 8(
Oakridge doesn't seem to be flipping into a Target. Knowing how Oakridge does things, they probably demanded an insane price for the lease renewal, and Target told em to go themselves.would be nice if any Targets actually bothered opening up in the Vancouver region. Insane that the old Zellers in Oakridge is still being renovated.

The outlier locations are already open, but they're a decent drive out. Not worth spending the entire day driving around and maybe not finding anything IMO.
