Will new PS2 games be 80 gig BC?

There are still few decent PS2 games coming out, mostly jRPGs, and I was wondering if they will definitely be backwards compatible on the 80 gig PS3s. I can understand Sony not going back and doing some of the older titles, but they would almost have to for the upcoming releases right?

Most of the new games that come out are 80GB BC.

Wait, I don't have a PS3 yet, but I thought the 80GB was not BC?

New 80GB PS3s ($400) will not play any PS2 games.

The only one's that do are the limited edition MGS4 80GB PS3s ($500).

Great question - I preordered Persona 4 thinking that most of the ShinMegami Tensei games play fine on the 80GB with BC.

But I also want KH: Chain of Memories and possibly Eternal Poison.
