Will watching the 2005 version of The Clone Wars ruin the newer version?

I am semi-interested in watching the new Star Wars: Clone Wars show being premiered this year but I don't know if I should watch the Clone Wars series from 2005 first or not.

I know George Lucas is a dick and everything but this new series seems to be getting pretty decent reviews, animation style and all.

In my opponion StarWars is something better left unanimated.

I loved the 2005 series. It was MUCH better than the prequel trilogy and in my opinion, shows how the Star Wars universe is better off when out of his mits now.

The 2005 one is worth watching even if it gets retconned by the new movie.
