I am just not knowledgeable on the subject. What's the best router I can get for under $100. Would like to stay around $50 or so but anything under $100 is cool. I am not moving buildings either with this thing, just general 360 gaming and internet usage. Thanks in advance guys, you never do me wrong.

EDIT: If anyone lives near a Frys and can pick me up one of these it would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to pay you a bit if you can. Pice is only good tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 14th):

EDIT 2: would prefer one that allows wired connections as well. Thanks for all the suggestions already.

Wow, $20 buck for that isn't bad. I dont live near any Frys though, srry.

If you dont get that one I would recommend the standard Blekin Wireless G router. Depending on what your looking for, if you want wireless N specifically or not because this one doesn't have it.
I've been using my Belkin for 3 years now and have never had a problem. The wireless has good range and delivers a strong signal through the whole house. It's also VERY simple to setup and secure, which is why I love it. I've never used the wireless for a 360 but it has been hooked up to a laptop and a Wii, both worked great.

This is mine

I think this is the same one, but a newer model

get a linksys man, i've had them for 2 generations and love them. had very little problems with either of them

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am actually looking into getting a new one of the router that died on me now (WRT54G wireless router from Linksys).

Those Linksys always get great reviews. Can't go wrong there I think.

I have used nothing but Netgear. They don't always get the highest ratings, but I've had 3 of them and they all work flawlessly, and are SUPER easy to set up. Belkin and D-Link are nothing but headaches. I sat on customer service for over an hour with a BRAND NEW Belkin, and we never got it working. I bought it from Walmart because it was the cheapest there. Returned it for a Netgear, and it worked instantly.

FYI - unless your computer or laptop has a Wireless N card installed (which most DO NOT from the factory from what I know), you will not see any speed increase higher than a Wireless G. Most Laptops have Wireless G cards in them (as does the Wii, PS3, and probably 360). DS and PSP have Wireless B I think (which is even slower). Don't waste your money on a Wireless N unless you plan on putting a Wireless N card in your laptop.

Speaking of N routers... You don't need N unless you are filesharing and/or media streaming between two devices. Unless you've got a T1 line or something...
