Apparently if you set your console to East Coast time, you can download an update that lets you play season 2 with the current roster using the new features. TJ Combo is supposed to come out tomorrow. Few places are calling it "Early Access", so maybe this is more of a beta for season 2 that people are getting. There are some streams up on Twitch if you want to check it out. I won't be able to play until Friday :(

I agree, when the program was introduced with Horizon, it seemed like there were a few more cars as rewards - with Forza 5, it shifted almost entirely to credits (except for, at launch, there were tiered car rewards ala Horizon 2). VIP membership really doesn't provide as many cars as I would've thought either (I think with Forza 5, I've received 3-4 in the past year?).

Holy cow TWD2 ep2 is way better than the lackluster ep1. I mean 1 was ok-almost-great but ended way sooner with not as much for you to do. I mean one chapter was just dialogue without any exploring (I remember more items to search for previously). The choices are much better than season 1 and actually make a difference, whereas season 1 sometimes it was unavoidable no matter what and the game just shuffled you into a premade choice so it felt generic, which is bad for a game built on the power of choosing (I understand there has to be some linearity in open ended games, just because they can't write basically a whole 'nother new branching plot for every scenario. Wouldn't it be awesome if they could though? The endgame boss could be different or something).

Just a heads up for those who have backlogged it. I know the consensus was that TWAU was much better and it might be, haven't played yet. However, the narrative is still strong and far from horrible or off-putting as some have made it seem. Still as much of a roller coaster ride as the first season and the protagonist is still likeable. The variety of dialogue options match the character well and almost always have a choice that I was already forming in my head before it came up. That's the magic of Telltale's writing system I guess.
 
Forgive me if this isn't the place to ask, but a Google search just looks like a bunch of scam sites. Does anyone know where to get a 2-3 day trial of XBL Gold? I really want Metro 2033 for $5 but I don't use my 360 enough to justify subscribing to Gold.

Is it a Gold sale price? Don't you have to get a month plus to get those prices?

Gotham premiere +  3 hours of WWE Raw + Xbox sales = potentially great date night tonight.

I need to save some money so I wouldn't mind weekly Rockstar sales until Black Friday weekend. But if they include sales on Far Cry 2, Shank 1, and Duke Nuken 3-D, I'll forgive them.

My predictions for this week:  Double Dragon Neon, Black Knight Sword, and/or Football (dlc if it exists).

 
Can almost GUARANTEE Double Dragon Neon being on sale this week as I finally broke down and bought it at full price. Jojo's Bizzare Adventure being delisted with no warning has me concerned any game I've been wanting is gonna be pulled soon...

With that being said Mavel Vs. Capcom Origins is coming up on 2 years on the marketplace. Jojo's was pulled after being on the marketplace for 2 years, what I'm getting at is if you're going to get MvC and with Disney's owning the Marvel license I could see this game being next. Grab it now if you want it, no guarantee Capcom will warn us this time that its going to get pulled.

 
This weeks sale was pretty good so hopefully they keep it up

But if tomorrows deals suck i'll probably bite on Last Light even though i do hate buying anything over 5 bucks,but i am enjoying Metro 2033

but yea heres hopeing for the best

You need a month's Gold at a minimum, not a 48 hour or 7 day trial, to be able to buy stuff on sale.

That sucks. All I want is to buy the Headhunter DLC packs for Borderlands 2 at half the price. They weren't included in the GOTY edition I rented from Gamestop. :(

 
I accidentally wandered into the PSN deal thread... Geez. It made me sad. They have so many great games on sale this week! Maybe I should pick up a cheap PS3 and get it over with.

I'm hoping for something interesting tonight at least...

if you look on the dash and click the add for GOTHAM and then goto batman games you will see BATMAN ARKHAM ORIGINS

and you can buy it for -1

wonder if it is FINALLY gonna be on demand? Its the only one of the trilogy I don't own on digital

Right you are. Since I had assumed any Gold activation gave access to Gold-only sales, I didn't think to look/research that part of it. Thanks though. I ebay'd a month long sub to get the games I wanted, hopefully the next month makes it extra-worth it.

Trials don't count as "Gold activation", but the misconception is there since most people tie the title "Gold" to the ability of playing online and not the membership.

Date night hype!. Since Crown of the Ivory King got delayed, i've got ten extra Xbucks to buy my date some dessert. She has to earn it though.

How about a lovely Halo sale on the 5th anniversary of ODST?  (and since Reach is the current GwG )  I wouldn't mind getting a good deal on GoD versions of ODST and Halo Wars.

Would be nice to see them set a precedent of having GwG DLC go on sale during the freebie period now that they've added the 2,000 Rewards Credits ($2) bonus. I don't see myself spending $35 to save $2 on the Reach map packs, but maybe if they were half off.
