Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

COD: "They never change the gameplay! They sell the same thing year after year."
Halo: "Damnit they changed the gameplay, why can't they have everything the same as it was 10 years ago"
pretty sure imma spend most of my mp time on MCC in Halo2...

file under rose tinted glasses: for all the people and gaming sites claiming San Andreas 360 ain't a substantial improvement over the ps2/xbox version, please just stop it. i finally broke down and played it today while my gf was watching. i played the new version for a few missions THEN put the original Xbox disk in. just a few minutes in she said "get that scruffy looking sh*t outta here!". so yes, if you're a SA fan this is definitely the definitive console version (yes the PC version is still best) and soooooo worth 4 bones. watching on YouTube and screen shot comparisons dont tell the whole story. when you play it it feels like a different game(load times, frame rate, sharpness, pop in, etc)...

has anyone else had issues getting to this thread on mobile?  I keep getting an error message about too many redirects but it works fine on my laptop.

Yes, I have been having the same issue, I looked it up on apple support (since i have an iphone) and it says its an issue when a website directs you and then redirects you somewhere else and then directs you back to the original site again.

Nothing for me this week. Sucks, I need to grab one more to complete my punchcard for 20,000 credits.
Unless someone can sell me on Sonic Generations. Looks interesting to say the least.

If you have even the slightest interest in Sonic, Generations is pretty awesome. It's like a best of, it even has full playable Sonic 1 if I recall correctly as an unlockable, plus it alternates between classic 2D gameplay (albeit with lovely and colourful 3D graphics) and the 2.5D you could see in recent titles, with the game conveniently forgetting Sonic's missteps (Sonic '06, the werehog BS in Unleashed, etc.. It's got tons of levels, challenges, unlockables... it is by far the best Sonic experience you can get as of today. Unless you hate the blue hedgehog for some reason, Generations is a game to have.

This. Adventure 1 and 2 were good for their time, but they aged terribly. Generations and Colors are the only two good 3D Sonic games; the rest have ranged from mediocre to downright terrible, IMO.

Word. Generations takes the gameplay of older titles and make it seem new and fresh again, with smooth controls, lovely graphics and just so much content that it's insane. I'm not even a huge Sonic fan but this game is pretty amazing.

Not sure if anyone here was looking for it or gave up hope on it coming out, but Magic 2015 is now out for the Xbox One. $9.99.

How do I start the Citadel DLC on Mass Effect 3? I beat the game a while ago and finally decided to download the DLC and play through it.

Yeah for days I couldn't access the mobile site, just kept going back to desktop version. seems to finally be working.

MURDERED is a fun game, but def not worth the full price tag. beat it during that RedBox free week we had a while back. first retail game I have 1000d

I've also been unable to view this thread from my iphone 5 for the last several days.  Just checked and it still won't let me, says that there are too many redirects.

Tried restarting phone and clearing cache, didn't help.

Don't know if already mentioned, but the Live Rewards survey is back this month!

Go get your 25 cents!

I'm thinking I might pre-order Halo MCC from Best Buy for some reason even though I don't really even like Halo. Doubt between 20% off for GCU and the $10 pre-order certificate it will be beat by the end of the year. Even if it was a surprise door buster for someone on BF I doubt it would be under $40.

Doubt between 20% off for GCU and the $10 pre-order certificate it will be beat by the end of the year. Even if it was a surprise door buster for someone on BF I doubt it would be under $40.
Same here. I sucked ass at Halo...like epically.....but that was before I really got into FPS games and MP matches. So hopefully with my newly acquired online predator instincts I can not suck ass epically this time around.

I would save your predator instincts for another series

it's gonna be interesting how people react to MCC since it's using the halo 2 rank system for all 4 games. You get XP for winning, you lose XP for losing. Eventually you get to a point where you have to win a bunch of games in a row to rank up, but if you lose 1 or 2 games, you'll rank down.

if you need someone to play halo with, let me know.

So will each game's MP be segmented off or is it all going to be just jumbled together? I'm hoping for the latter but I have not followed the game at all.

Why do I have to install something to play a BR disc on the 'Bone? :wall:

And why do things like movies always play at a fraction of the volume level that games do?

That's me exactly. I still don't play PvP other than Titanfall, but just having so much more exposure to FPS' should make Halo 1 through 4 feel like almost new experiences. Maybe I'll even try on Legendary.

I was thinking of that yesterday and I fugured out why! To collect customer data. If you put bluray in like Sony you'd have to do some ninja tactics to collect info on usage, what movies you watch etc. However an app lets them verify and track your usage. This knowledge became apparent after training with an activision consultant that told me they collect 23,000 pieces of data on each multiplayer character. Pretty interesting stuff.

Yeah, that's really not surprising at all these days.

Any of you who know me, know this. I hate two...three...several things!

CoD
Dark Souls
Skyrim
Julia Roberts
Airplane Food

But...Advanced Warfare is pretty good. BLOpS2 was the first CoD I really played. Liked it. Didn't bother with Ghosts thanks to CAGs warning me of it's epic lameness...but this AW stuffs...not bad. Not bad at all.

You pretty much got it right. Black Ops 2 is probably the most balanced and complete COD package as of today, with some of the best DLCs the series has ever seen. Advanced Warfare is the one coming in closest. People will argue that MW1 and MW2 are better but if anything they were: their multiplayer is full of hacked servers nowadays. MW3 was the first really uninspired title, while Ghosts is a half-trainwreck in multiplayer. If you liked Black Ops 2 and can find Black Ops 1 cheap, I suggest you to buy that as well, it's nearly as good as BO2 but with a completely different setting. AW is pretty fun, I don't see myself putting in the same amount of time I did with BO2 (the game tells me I've had 14+ days on that - and that only counts the effective multiplayer gameplay, doesn't count menus, zombies, private matches or campaign), but it's different and balanced enough. It's got a bit too many "cheap kills" like MW does, the Treyarch games seem to have players with more health or something, but it's great, definitely better than Ghosts and MW3.

I don't know what to think about COD anymore. My initial experience was BLOPS and I had a blast playing with friends. MW3 was even more fun by myself with the riot shield/shotgun chaos you could bring when a domination match was going south...plus the support kill streaks so I could run and gun when I wanted and not worry about dying as much.

BLOPS2 felt like a downgrade from MW3 due to the support streak being gone...ghost's multiplayer maps were awful (haven't tried DLC ones) and support streaks were mostly useless. I miss the ability to play support from BLOPS until Ghosts by shooting down air streaks and such.

I love the extinction mode of Ghosts though so I did find the season pass for cheap. Zombies you play till you die. Extinction gave you something to work towards.

AW is the first one since BLOPS that I haven't bought day 1. I don't feel like I need any more multiplayer since it went downhill from MW3 in my opinion (maps were good in BLOPS2 don't get me wrong...just always played careful and focused to protect my k/d ratio...not as much variety of styles as MW3). I've watched some stuff on AW but can't convince myself to dump any more money or time into the series at this point since I feel they've removed most of the stuff I liked.
