  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

You do know it actually does include DLC, right?

http://www.ign.com/wikis/mass-effect-trilogy - scroll down
You asked if it includes all the DLC and the only DLC it includes (at least for 360) is what was already included in new copies of the game for the 360 that came with the Cerberus codes or whatever (AKA project $10). Even than the PS3 only has ME2 DLC that was included with the disc meaning everything, but The Arrival which came after release. My laughter in disbelief still stands.

Ah, I thought you were just taking a jab at EA and saying they'd never include DLC on disc for free. I know they publish NFS Rivals and it's about to be re-released next month with all dlc. Not sure if that's what you were going for, I just don't get all the EA hate is all. They're a big company who is trying to make money, that's nothing new.

It's cool to hate on companies. For some reason, EA just gets it worse than others.

Crap...another week with nothing to buy. If ME3 were actually a GoD title I'd buy it, but since its not and my dvd drive won't read disks the dlc sale is useless to me.

Opinions on Syndicate single player? I keep reading/watching conflicting reviews. One will say it's very good but short and linear, another says it's bad. The co-op mode has no value to me as I always play alone.

Nothing else this past week and this current week looks very enticing. Still considering Metro 2033, but again have read it's short and very linear.

I remember when EA won like what three worse company of the year awards or some such which is cringeworthy and shows how stupid gamers can be. It's not like EA is out polluting the water, killing off whales, and banging your wife.

I understand some people are still bitter about the online pass thing and the fact EA likes to buy small developers and in some cases end up doing nothing with them [RIP Bullfrog :(] or merging them into one amongst other shady doings but in the grand scheme of things awarding them worse company in the world in comparison to some of the things some companies get away with is a joke and it reflects on how ignorant & immature most gamers are to even vote for them in such a poll.

Way off-topic. Sorry. So for the sake of being on-topic you should all buy D4 if you got got a Xbox One. It's incredible.

Well people care more about things that visibly and immediately impact their lives even if it's insignificant. That other stuff is more ethereal and most people have never been directly impacted enough for it to be anything more than something you hear about occasionally that you should care about like starving kids in Africa.

I remember working for a large developer/publisher about 9 years ago in LA and EA then was known to force devs to release incomplete and had the worst QA group in the industry. This was mostly before games were fixed with patches. Look at NHL 15 or UFC even now. A release on time, patch/improve later mentality. They just dis it before without that luxury and served up yearly crap.

Plus all the alleged abusive employment practices and work conditions that made the headlines.

AMEN

I have waited so damn long to replay the trilogy because I wanted the ME3 DLC at a discount if no HD trilogy was announced (and let's be honest, EA never has done remasters so it is unlikely).

Amazing game, I hope you like it too.
Having just played it for about 45 minutes, I'd have to agree. Artwork is amazing and the storytelling without character dialogue is pretty decent. I find myself wanting to keep playing when I have to put it down. Contrast that with destiny, put me in the disappointed camp. After an hour I'm revisiting the same areas, killing the same handful of different enemies. I'm going to return this one to gsmestop before the week is up, I had no expectations going in but it feels pretty bland.

I'm sending metro redux back to gamefly tomorrow even though I just got it today, since I'd rather Play a game that's released next week. Should I choose forza 2 or shadow of mordor? Opinions? Is the latter supposed to be rpg like? The forza demo was really great, but it is just driving... Haven't seen much press on alien isolation that is out soon too, can we hope for something great for the franchise finally.

It's been a few months since I played it. The story could be better, but gameplay-wise, it's fun to hack into people and make them kill each other.

You can also be a dick if you feel like it, such as here.

With Metro, probably the main replay value you might see is if you bother doing every guide-dang it action to get the 'good' ending, but like Shadow Hearts, it's not the canon ending. If you have the urge to kill people with Yuri Lowenthal's voice, there's also that. (If you're reading this, Mr. Lowenthal, don't keel me.)

Alrighty, I picked up Metro 2033...might get Syndicate at the last second as well, depending on whats on sale next week. Hacking npc's does look fun...

Man, I already own Syndicate on Origin, have The Orange Box on disv and have no space left on my 120gb hdd and im still considering buying both. This has to be some sort of mental condition.

Im also looking for a cheap 32gb flashdrive that will work well with the 360. Anyone have any suggestions?

Is leviathan worth getting?  It looks like I didn't pick it up the last time the ME DLC went on sale so there has to be a reason for that.

I don't know about that. I want to play the DLC for ME2 and ME3 very much, but there are strong indicators that it is coming to the new consoles:

http://www.kdramastars.com/articles/39347/20140922/mass-effect-trilogy-ps4-xbox-one.htm
kdramastars is the worst possible source for news. It's like they just take any bullshit tip thrown their way. I think the only true piece of news they had was Revelations 2, and that was probably because the site it leaked on was Korean.

Complete Bulls$%! for Spiderman 2. Why on earth 360 gets a great deal but the One barely gets a discount. You can get it cheaper on Amazon FFS.

If you haven't yet, buy ALL the ME2 and ME3 DLC on sale! They are all worth it and they rarely go on sale. I see posts about people skipping out on Arrival or Leviathan. That's crazy talk.

ALL THE ME DLC!  IT SHALL BE MINE!  (Because that almost guarantees EA will spite me with a PS4/XBO Re-release with all DLC and enhanced graphics for the same price I'll have just paid for the sale DLC... and I'm OK with that :D)

Kinda glad it's Gold sales this week. Gold membership expired last week...28 GoD in backlog and 7 physical copies. I think it's time to play some of this bounty before moving to the next gen.

That's it? Mine is in the triple digits for Xbox 360 digital games alone thanks to CAG.

Turns out, the only Mass Effect DLC packs I don't have are Citadel and Leviathan. $15 total for both. $15 Xbox currency cards are now sold in stores. I just got a $15 Best Buy rewards certificate. The stars have aligned.

Bad source, but I think money is a pretty strong indicator.
Yeah, I think once they see how well Halo MCC does it's going to entice a lot of companies to bring their PS3/360 libraries to next gen. That's why I'm getting a little hesitant to buy last gen stuff, or even play through backlogged games that could find themselves on the One. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Mass Effect, Batman, Bioshock, or Gears of War series get some kind of collection / reboot within the next few years.

So Mass Effect 3 DLC goes on sale for Gold Members the week after my Gold membership expires.  FML.  Anyone know what the cheapest option for Gold Membership is right now.  I just want to buy the shortest term available so I can get this DLC (think that's one month?).

No one can blame you. You just got married, plus you had neck surgery after defeating 3 men in one night at WrestleMania. BTW when are you returning?

It's already been happening for a lot of companies, namingly square.

Look at Watch Dogs Defenitive Edition - At $60!

We have Tomb Raider DE, Metro Redux, GTA V, Rayman Legends (more of a late port, but w/e), Saints Row IV, DOA5 Last Round,Payday 2 etc.

Hell It's one of the main reasons I haven't bought Dark Souls 2 and have no plans on buying Borderlands Prequel. Either a next gen port/remaster gets made or the games are $10-$15 by the time I've waited. Wouldn't even surprise me if Ubisoft re-releases Assassin's Creed Rogue down the line for the X1/PS4. I would be cautious of buying any of the newer 360 releases this late in this gen at this point. Only grab them if your going to play them day one or they are dirt cheap.

ZOMG PRAYERS HAVE BEEN HEARD AND ANSWERED.  THE LORDS OF MICROSOFT HAVE BLESSED US WITH A ME2 DLC SALE.

Sadly, it looks like Overlord isn't included, but Shadow Broker and Arrival are, and that's good enough.  I'll probably pick up the Genesis packs as well, just to round things out and finish it off.

Anyone know if you can use one-week trials to get the discounted gold prices in the store? I know you can't use them for the "Games with Gold" promotion.
Just confirming that one-week trials don't let you obtain gold prices in the store. Looks like the only option is a one-month membership.

Thank goodness an ME sale!  Hope that means a Forza sale is also within the realm of possibility.  I'm not sure which is worse for sales between those two.

Not sure on the return, sadly. But I actually have been in a ring and I used to date a girl named Brie. She had all the intelligence of the Bellas, and half the hotness.

I had no clue what you were talking about ... until about a couple minutes or so ago when I happened to catch the youtube video(s) you were referring to (or was it this?). As a non-wrestling fan, I have no clue of who 85% of these people are ... but I can be amused by the marketing gimmick ^^. Or am I mistaken?

I'm probably mistaken ... this is exactly just like me trying to talk to my one friend who actually watches wrestling when I have no clue ... I'll go back to Rumble Roses.

Never saw the video before. I was just responding to the post I quoted. He made reference to me looking like Daniel Bryan (that's me in my avatar) like many people have. I simply stated a couple related facts: that I, Matt, had been in wrestling rings and also used to have a girlfriend whose name was Brie B., although she was no Bella.

Exactly, but beside Metro Redux (which I held off of on the last 360 sale because of), most of those games are just ports of single games with slight upgrades. I would like to see more last gen collections of 2-4 games make their way to next gen, and I think they eventually will. You're probably right about Borderlands and Dark Souls though.
