Uh the Nemesis system is the part of that game that was most praised in reviews. People were back and forth on story and world, but they almost universally say the Nemesis system is a leap for open world game design that makes the game so lively and entertaining, other open world games will need to catch on. It's all over the reviews that it's great.

 
Not enough people bought FUSE last week, so they are just going to continue last weeks sales another week or two.

I don't know but I grabbed some differences from Neogaf.

No mechanical damage
No tuning options (just part upgrades)
No "cross country" race events
There is no "road trip" to the next town; when you finish a championship, you're just told to drive within proximity of the next town (in other words, there is no mass caravan of drivers leading to the next area).
8 players online rather than 12
Maximum of 8 car offline races
No drivetrain conversions (engine swaps and aspirations conversions are still in, but they're done in a manner similar to the first Forza Horizon, where engine swaps are limited by manufacturers rather than generic engines like in Forza 5 and Horizon 2 on Xbox One)
Four showcase events instead of five (I know which one is missing, but I'm not sure if the others that are there are the same as the events in the One version)
The bucket list events seem to be completely different
"Special" paint selection is limited to two-tone colors (no gold, camouflage, carbon fiber, etc)
Seems to only feature three radio stations (Pulse, Bass Arena, and XS) without featuring the other stations as progression unlocks.
The obvious graphics differences.

Seems weird that they wouldn't have tuning since tuning in some form has been on the 360 since FM2. Either way, nothing on that list looks to be a deal breaker for me, as I was never much of a gearhead anyway, but I still enjoy that series. Cross country races would have been nice, but I wonder if that's like the equivalent of an endurance race on the older games, if so they can keep them. Certainly you can still drive around wherever, open-world style like you could on FH1 on the 360.

They didn't sell me on an XB1 for FM5 and it doesn't appear that they'll get me with FH2 if this list is to be believed as the main /only differences.

Either way, nothing on that list looks to be a deal breaker for me, as I was never much of a gearhead anyway, but I still enjoy that series. Cross country races would have been nice, but I wonder if that's like the equivalent of an endurance race on the older games, if so they can keep them. Certainly you can still drive around wherever, open-world style like you could on FH1 on the 360.

They didn't sell me on an XB1 for FM5 and it doesn't appear that they'll get me with FH2 if this list is to be believed as the main /only differences.

Credit goes to Sumo. They did a helluva job with what they had. I thought I read it was only 1/3rd the size but apparently they are near the same. Guess we'll find out more over the next few days.

 
If anyone is on the fence for 1001 Spikes, I picked it up last night, and enjoying every bit so far. It's a lot like Spelunky, but with the graphical style of Super Meat Boy in a sense.

Aside from the adventure mode, there's three other modes as well which are unlockable. A golden vase mode (which is best done in multiplayer) which has you collecting coins and competing for the most ala old school Super Mario Bros. Another mode which is reminscint of Ice Climbers. The third I haven't unlocked so can't comment on that.

Yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up, as my want list is fairly small and mostly older games that haven't been on sale in ages or have never been on sale.  Either way, I'm heading to bed, have no problem waiting to see the deals tomorrow at work, if they post tonight.

They knew people would start adding Mass Effect DLC to their sales wishlists an hour after the current sale ends, so they decided to extend it for a month.

But seriously, the last time the sales were late it ended up being a big sale, so here's hoping!

Sooo... X1 games not having demos is super-annoying, right or is that just me?

We get video clips by the ton and a ton of images now, which are nice but where's the demo so I know whether or not I can actually enjoy actually playing them? Argh, it's like I'm playing on a Playstation.
