Liberation is good for $5. It's about 6-8 hours long. New characters and locations, some new mechanics as well. The story is alright but not fully fleshed out. As an AC fan I liked it.
 
I thought I read about an AssCreed bundle coming with 3,4, and Liberation with all the DLC... If true, I might just wait for that since those are the only AC games I'm missing.
 
Got Liberation when it was $10 recently, and BG&E a while back (just checked, got it for $2.49 last December). Nothing else is at a price that grabs my attention, so looks like my spacebucks are safe this week.
 
Playing Walking Dead season 2 and I guess it's a good sign of writing when I gotta pause and think thing's through. Good job, Telltale!  You make the writing agonizing in a good way, not like Beyond Two Souls which was agonizing in an "I Wish video game stories had editors" kinda way.

 
Ugh as good as AW looks I think MCC is gonna be the better buy. I really don't need to buy anything else since have such a huge backlog but starting with FH2 and SoM the games are gonna keep coming nonstop
 
I think I'm going to skip AW instead of my original plan to get both at launch. I haven't played Halo in years so I'm more excited for it and I don't want to be scrambling to play both games every other night especially since Sunset Overdrive releases around the time Call of Duty will.

It should be $35 or $40 the week after Christmas at BB.

Should have a few patches by then too.

What all comes on the disc release of Killer Instinct that came out last week?

 
Guess my money is safe for another week. Not interested in Orange Box, and the new sale has zero interest for me since I don't like AC/Farcry/Tom Clancy games.

Just fresh off my Telltale backlog and I enjoyed both TWAU and TWD2. Ep2 and 3 were really good I thought. Finales were a little less punchy but still good.

And to those who asked, I just read that Shadow of Mordor's nemesis system became generic, with the "personalities" really just being reduced to weak to stealth, to range, etc. Again, apparently since I haven't played it yet ;P So to me it sounds like a good idea in practice but still fall short of that "emergent" evolving gameplay feature they wanted. But hey I could eat my words later.

Assassin's creed on sale? Still don't care. Is it still worth finishing up Ezio's story after 2? I'm tempted to just skip all of them and start fresh on 4.

I'd say yes. The combination of stealth and combat worked for me and the music just adds to the danger element - whenever you get caught or are close to getting attacked, the music gets louder; otherwise, it's not distracting and overbearing.

I will say the dialogue is hard to hear so I had to adjust the sound in the options menu to make it audible. And driving vehicles (especially the boats) can be annoying especially if you try shooting a machine gun at the same time. And unlike the demo, the actual game has saved checkpoints. There are way worse games at $2.49.

AC Liberation shows as $4.99 for me on the console, but when I click to make a payment it defaults to my credit card though I have $11.52 in credit. I then select manage payment options and I can't even choose my credit. It's like, greyed out. Anyone have this problem or should I try again later tonight when all the kinks are worked out?

 
Ubisoft's way of hinting a sale might be to delist and relist a game. When Pirates got relisted, it went on sale shortly after.

FarCry Classic is an old school shooter. Expect a lot of fun and a lot of bs.
 
I guess it's too late to root for sales this week, but is it too early to root for next weeks sales?

Either way, someone showed me Worms and I want a version for 360 to play for Extra Life!

I much prefer to buy on disc when available...

Where'd you get Abyss Odysses, Far Cry Classic, Assassin Creed Liberation and Beyond Good and Evil on disc.

I'd like to know because I made the mistake buying Far Cry 3 blood dragon without knowing that was on disc.

Far Cry was on PC, Liberation was on PSP, Beyond Good & Evil was on PS2/Xbox. I own the latter two on disc, but not the first one. I was just referring to the 360 GoD games, really, which can all be had at retail for cheap and won't take up so much hard drive space.

It is a great buy indeed. I bought it during the holidays when it was around $20 and it was a great deal even at that, and I've sunk so many hours into it. I've said it then and I'l say it again now: there will be no more NCAA games, so 14 is the last, and it's a very good game. I fully expect disc versions will retain value so you won't be able to go to GameStop and not get horribly gouged for it. And I love having it digitally and not having to swap a disc in and out. AFAIK, folks are still updating rosters and making them available for the new season too.

And FWIW, NCAA > Madden and has been for a number of years. If you play NCAA, then go play Madden, you can't help but notice how much better NCAA plays and feels. And of course more variety of plays/formations, and running the option makes NCAA superior as well.

The rest of the sale is meh unfortunately.
