Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Mass Effect - 4.99
Alice Madness Returns - 4.99
Dead Space - 5.09
Dead Island Riptide - 9.99
Dead Space™ 3 Awakened Add on - 4.99

Mass Effect seems a bit random though on that list lol
Thanks bought Alice download. Had the game near launch thanks to KMart sale but got the PS3 download for cheap & traded my disc copy, but now have the superior 360 version back.

This is still a $30 used disc so well worth the discounted price!

If you look under new ondemand should be there!!!

Let me know next time i might tag along!! :)
You'd better come next time :D/ We hardly ever get such deals around here, so when there's a chance it must be taken. Too bad I didn't have a lot of money, at one point they were selling Shadow of Mordor for 20, the Wii U for 99, PS4 and XB1 bundles for 299... could have spent a paycheck right there...

Not really but it does get annoying at some points... I got it free with gwg played till halfway through the game and got bored..

Does anyone have a recommendation for the $1 Darksiders 2 DLCs?  It seems like they'll qualify for the 2000 ($2) Xbox Rewards return, but I can't decide which one seems like it would be the most useful for my playthrough.

Last week Project Spark was flooded with "DOWNLOAD FOR EZ ACHEIVEOMENTS", so I didn't even bother looking for something good to play. Creators have come back strong this week with a lot of good games.

Here are my 2 favorites of the week:
R.T. - Remake of the Silent Hills PT, but with a surprise ending
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-Y3oGiL0Og

Little Big Plan It - The whole thing is great, but at least watch the start for the fantastic character designs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_E0hwdUsGY8

There was also a neat Portal style game, but I wasn't able to finish it this weekend. I'll try to get a complete playthrough uploaded next weekend.

All Project Spark games are free to play

The graphics are appalling... Lol i dont remember it being that bad on ps2 but then again its been a while since i last played it...
It is a 10 year old game, made for the console generation of Xbox and PS2. I too remember it "looking better", but there was no 2014 graphic equivalent to compare it to. The same can be said for classic titles, like Perfect Dark and Goldeneye 64. They all were cutting edge back in their day, but a heck of a lot has changed since then. It's hard to go back sometimes.

At least the gameplay in San Andreas is still somewhat solid, and you can't really argue much with the $3.74 price tag.

Nope... Theres rumours that its gonna drop with the release on xbone/ps4

The very reason I just can't go back to the original Goldeneye. That was one of my favorite games of the generation, but when I picked up a copy last year and started playing it, it was fuck ing awful. Sometimes nostalgia should just be left to the memory.

In all fairness the gta sa hd has terrible graphics but its still highly enjoyable the game is still huge even compared to most titles nowadays and never lets you down on replay value.. Im hoping theyll port the other 2 titles aswell!!!

Its getting harder and harder for me to buy digital, but I never had San Andreas. I was too young when it first came out. Technically GTAV was my first GTA game (I'm not counting GTA2). SO I cant turn down san Andreas at that price. 3 Gigs left on my 250 gig hard drive and that's with most of the GWG deleted.

Anyone who's played GTA: SA, how does it play and look now? The price is tempting but I don't want to impulse buy something that I won't be able to finish.

Yup, Goldeneye 64 was the defining game of my teenage years, and helped me gain some lifelong friends. We all were between 16 and 18, working out first jobs at McDonald's at the time it came out. I remember it showing up at Blockbuster Video, (how's that for nostalgia?), a whole week early before its official release date, and renting it, thinking it could be cool. I ended up buying it, and telling my new friends at the job about it. We all ended up getting the game, and doing couch multiplayer for about 4 years. When we used the Gameshark, (another nostalgic item), to unlock the development team, months before the in game button code was revealed, we had even more fun.

I miss couch multiplayer in some senses. When someone was a douche, you could simply punch them in the arm, and tell them to quit picking Oddjob and "being cheap". Can't much do that online these days. Now, the people who had the better part of them dribble down their mother's leg around the time we were playing Goldeneye, have become the new generation of twitch-reflexes FPS players, complete with day one glitches, mods, aim bots, cheats, and a limited/foul vocabulary. I won't even play competitive multiplayer any more.

I miss being the only one of my friends to have Xbox Live and being unstoppable at Halo 2/3 split-screen. Online is so competitive that even as a bad online player, it still trained me to be way better than offline players. Wish the same could be said for fighting games :/

Competition breeds excellence.

That massive pool of players online who are going to do whatever it takes to win? They're making you better, much better than you would ever be playing against a small group of players with imaginary rules.

Thanks for the GTASA heads up! I bought it earlier.

I already posted this in the contest forum but figured I'd give you all a heads up. Basically my friend and I streamed games yesterday for 24 hours for charity/Extra Life and gave away prizes as incentive to donate. We still have prizes including lots of XBLA codes plus a physical copy of Titanfall on Xbox One. If you donate a dollar, you're entered to win. Details here:

The talk of the game looking horrendous and being unplayable is HIGHLY exaggerated. I mean really, did you guys expect them to remake the game in the GTAV engine? Yes, it's a 10 year old game, but come on. If I hooked up my original xbox with the composite cables on my HDTV right now it would look like crap, but this looks fine. If you're expecting it to look better than most games in 2014 then you're setting yourself up for a let down, but if you have realistic expectations you're going to have a good time and it's well worth $3.75.

It looks and plays so much better than the original Xbox version. The missions have checkpoints! That alone is worth the upgrade.

Thanks for the GTA SA price alert. I grabbed it. With that and Alice, not a bad week. My game list had grown to the point where it's getting hard to find a sale on something I don't own week to week. And of course, I haven't even started playing most of them....typical CAG syndrome :)

I've never understood the oddjob rage people have. In my group of friends, I rotated between Oddjob, Trevelyan, and Baron Samedi. No one ever got pissed off when I picked oddjob. And it's hilarious seeing a tiny man with a hat running for his life in a zig zag formation when he runs out of ammo. It didn't really give me that much of an advantage while playing actually. Unless we chose to play slaps only. But I usually played with Baron Samedi if we were doing slaps only.
