Did you see that Xbox is getting a gimped version? We have one less strike and no exotic weapon but pay the same price.

That's ridiculous, especially when you take into account how little content the DLC has in the first place.

Been close to buying Viva Pinata for the lulz many times. Did not. Now it's free. Can not complain.

Guerrilla has a really fun gameplay and the destruction is so satisfying that it has to be played. Easily the most viscerally satisfying destructive gameplay around, feels much more powerful than Battlefield. It is suffering from a couple questionable design choices, including endlessly respawning enemies which made me quit the game (I was renting it 5 years ago or so and I just couldn't be arsed anymore), but I gladly start over and do it again.

The X1 freebie looks okay. Besides, COD: AW is coming out so the freebies won't get tons of playtime from me.

 
Any CAGs that messaged me on XBL for an X1 preview invite have been invited. Give it a day or two for it to message you. Also, not everybody gets in, not sure why MS doesn't send the invite to some people (even though it's sent on my end).

Not technically a deal question but could be if it works like I think it might....so my question is if I go visit my brother next week when Advanced Warfare comes out on, can I sign in on MY profile on his 360, buy digital AW, then DL it on MY 360, then upgrade on MY Xbox One since I'm the one who owns it? And if yes to these, will my brother still be able to play AW under his own profile?

Sorry. Very curious and didn't know where else to post.

if your console is not the original download it would only work with an online connection but yes it should in theory work

 
I have none of the GwGs for November. I may play VP. I loved the first one.

I'm all stocked up and ready to pick up COD:AW, AC:U and Halo:MCC in November. So excited!

The first download is tied to that console and anyone can play it online or off. After that if you were to download it on a different console that person would have to be online with the original account that downloaded it in order to play it.

 
So....

I bought Sunset Overdrive, digitally, but accidentally charged the full amount to my credit card instead of splitting it with my account balance

Anyway, chatted with support and he said he refunded the game and to go ahead and re-purchase it with the correct method, but the thing is, it's already installing.

What happens when it reaches 100%? I don't necessarily want to steal, but will it even let me "re-purchase" it? Will I be able to just play the game when it finishes?

Will it install but not let me access it, but let me re-buy it and it be ready to go?

Not sure how this is gonna work. Anyone?

 
Honestly I dont know why you all are disappointed in just having one freebie on X1. The system is barely a year old. Its still building its list of titles and most of the freebies youve been given are so fresh you can cut the umbilical cord. They cant give their whole roster of games away for those paying just for gold. You wont see anything remotely substantial until at least 2 years. Downloadable indie games is all they can muster and afford to give out for free. (for now)  

I m not exactly happy with Nov GwG but always wanted to play red faction guerrilla so that will be nice.. not a fan of the viva pinata games tho. oh well. free is free.

I bought Sunset Overdrive, digitally, but accidentally charged the full amount to my credit card instead of splitting it with my account balance

Anyway, chatted with support and he said he refunded the game and to go ahead and re-purchase it with the correct method, but the thing is, it's already installing.

What happens when it reaches 100%? I don't necessarily want to steal, but will it even let me "re-purchase" it? Will I be able to just play the game when it finishes?

Will it install but not let me access it, but let me re-buy it and it be ready to go?

Not sure how this is gonna work. Anyone?

Probably won't let you play it. Should be able to re-buy it and be ready to go. Any disc games that I switched to digital versions were able to play right away after getting them through the marketplace, so should be the same or similar.

See what happens man. I had a game refunded once before, still works.
 
Can someone explain what Walking Dead Season 2 Pass (on sale for $7.49 with gold) entails? Does that include all the season 2 or some of season 2 or..? 

I tried googling it and I just got "get access to all the remaining episodes" Well I don't know what that means as all the episodes are already available.

The description says that it includes episodes 2-5

It contains Episodes 2-5, with Episode 1 acting as the "base" game and a separate purchase.

It's essentially like buying a retail game (let's use BF4 as an example) and the season pass lets you access the DLC for a cheaper price than if you had bought them separately.

Personally, not buying it, not enought content. Only if they would cut that price in half, i would go for it.

Yes, it's irritating. I wouldn't mind having less content than Sony consoles, if they weren't charging the same amount for less content. At this pace the game will die shortly after the first expansion, too bad since they do have the material to keep this for a long time, however, greed is killing this.

So, got up this morning and checked what would happen. The game and dlc were just stuck in an infinite install loop. Had to re-buy the game to access them. But at least I didn't have to re-install anything

Also, I like this way better, but it's confusing since it was the opposite on the 360. Now to split payment, you choose your account balance first, then it will ask how you wish to pay the remainder

Volgarr is surprisingly fun in the way that Super Meat Boy is fun.  Really tight combat though the platforming is a tad frustrating since you can't really make any adjustments once you're in the air.

I know!! It's surprisingly a fun game. Last night, every time I died, I'd go "One more time"...few hours later I'm still playing. It's fun if you get all powerups without getting hit. I got to the flaming sword, which was pretty fun.

I knew I was going to like it when every time I died after the first 15 minutes I was swearing at the screen but kept on playing. Was a great "Oh fuck" moment when you get through the level and then there's a giant boss and you die and have to do it all over again.

Edit- I just beat that boss and so satisfying.

Forza Horizon 2 is legit the best racing game I ever played. Umm I also just played the NBA Live 15 trial and that game is straight ass. If you got Sunset Overdrive from MS store (in store) and didn't get your preorder codes, check your email. Got both of them last night finally. Got the MS and BB preorder codes now, wish I had Gamestop's too.

I wonder if something is up with XBLDB.  It hasn't updated with the Slender drop yet, and I noticed yesterday that Gears of War: Judgment GoD dropped from $39.99 to $19.99 on the web marketplace.
