I agree, I liked Limbo so I will play it. They didn't have to give anything so a free game is great.

Yeah, and the poster is just a generic link with your gamertag at the end.

I saved all the images to my computer, and added DBZ and Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn to my Xbox Video library, but overall my gift box was "meh."

 
That DBZ movie is amazing, I saw it in the theatre when it was out in the US and definitely recommend giving it a watch for free :D

Not sure honestly I'm opted in to both and haven't received any emails including the stats email. I did get a message about limbo on live though so I guess it's better than nothing.
 
I got the Dtagon ball z garbage. MS certainly hasn't done crap to show appreciation to us early adopters that overpaid for their "required" Kinect they barely support.
Well at least we have a smooth playing Halo game...oh wait..

This. Day One/early adopters should get a $50 credit. I'd be perfectly content with that. Kinda makes up for the FU to us for UK getting a day one free game and all these non-needed kinect drops.
 
Didn't red ring of death and PS3's yellow light of death last generation show everyone you never buy Microsoft or Sony consoles day one if you're smart?

FU?! You were doing just fine until you made that comparison. Do you realize how much more europeans (and pretty much everyone else on the planet) have to pay for their entertainment than people in the US? Microsoft is especially US-biased in regards to their prices and promotions.

 
Just got my gift from microsoft. Says ill get Limbo when its released. Too bad i have it on 360 and PC and couldnt get into it. Maybe ill give it another shot on X1, seems kinda pointless to port it over though

I think the majority of people getting stuff have had it for most of the year.

I gotta say, as a Day One purchaser, I've been grumbling a bit at all these insane console bundles and console prices. It's nice to get a small token to say "hey, thanks buddy for being there from the start."

Yea and we also don't have to worry about Limbo ever being the free game on XB1 GwG :D/

I hope they wouldn't give something away free that they gave already to a lot of people

Let's be real for a second. In a year, when the game library for Xbox One picks up, you're not going to remember that early adopters took it in the ass. So why should Microsoft care when you don't/won't? All they have to do is wait.

We all did, its called the day one achievement and day one controller. Way better deal.

Im not saying it like we're gonna get it. Just meant it as it'd be nice to be actually get some appreciation. Not just a free "upgraded" arcade title that many have played.
 
Does this whole thing with Limbo leave a bad taste in anyone else's mouth? Not so much that they're giving it out for free to some people - that's cool. But the fact that they're going to re-release the game for Xbone likely without any changes or differences or even any reason to own it beyond the fact that now it will have more achievement points. I don't care if they re-release a game that was on Xbox 360 and up the graphics or change the gameplay significantly (like GTA V for instance). But making us re-buy a 4.5 year old game that won't play or even look different when I already own it for the previous console is ridiculous. This is a bad trend - everything like this should be cross-buy or there should be a nominal fee for the new version (like $1 or so). This is just greed.

 
Are you really surprised when everyone that can has been churning out minimal effort HD versions of PS2 era and earlier games that were nothing more than basic compatibility and 720p?

Yeah, I'm not sure why Microsoft is dragging their feet on the Cross Buy thing because I'd love to have new versions of some of the best XBLA exclusives on Xbox One without having to pay full price again when they're doing a straight port. It's one of my favorite things on PS4/Vita to get the later versions for no additional cost when they're doing a straight port. Let the new people pay full price and reward prior owners with a shiny new version to play again.

To be fair to Microsoft, the Limbo devs have been weird with Cross Buy support on PS3/Vita by disabling that support a few months after launch, so there's no guarantee that the devs would support Cross Buy on Xbox One/360.

Fred Meyer (Kroger's western-USA & Canada dept. store) has another double-coupon on XBL & PSN credit (or if you wish, XBL Gold & PS+) between Sun-Wed.  If you're planning to make any digital purchases on either platform, you'll want to stock up on credit at nearly 28% off, because buying $$$ with less $$$ is a good thing.  I'll post pic's once the "save $10/20/30 off $50/100/150" coupon goes online tonight, but I'm uncertain how many more of these they'll run until 2015. :)

It would be great if Kroger stores had the same deal, but I don't think that they will, so I have to settle for the current Target buy 1, get 1 25% off sale on gaming cards that unfortunately ends tonight.

And, I recently bought my Xbox One so the only thing I got for free was the seven weapon DLC codes for buying Sunset Overdrive at retail since I had no reason to take part in the one day of free Sunset Overdrive. I've only booted the game once, so perhaps, this will give me incentive to return to the game, but, I'm still focusing on Fallout: New Vegas at the moment.

 
Does anybody know if Rayman Legends has been on sale in the marketplace before for the 360? Also, does anybody think it has a shot at being on sale for Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
 
Has anyone else watched the Halo Nightfall show on the Halo channel? The code for it came with MCC, and it may just turn out that I like terrible shows but I'm actually enjoying it after 2 episodes

Last week I used the $5 off $50 Electronics coupon and 10% off Video Game Accessories coupon and got six $50 Xbox Live Credit for $40.50 each. First, the clerk took the $5 off of the $50, which therefore was $45. From there, he took 10% Off (10% of $45) to get to a grand total of $40.50 out the door each.

When you find the upcoming ad, please post here to let us know if the 10% Off Video Game Accessories coupon is in there, too. If so, and if applied correctly, that would mean $50 in Xbox Live or PSN Credit for $36 each ($50 minus $10 = $40, then 10% off $40 = $36.00).

I like the way this man shops for her Xbox Live credit. I've got, like, $90 on my account earmarked for Black Friday and holiday sales on Live, and I thought I was stockpiling credit like a boss.

 
I got a "personalized limited edition Year One" poster... Nothing appealed to me at all, but what exactly am I supposed to do with this? Even if it were printed out it'd be useless, but a giant picture I can just download? Lol. 

think I'd probably be more annoyed if I hadn't just spent all day playing Sunset Overdrive for free.
