Please note:

 • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
 • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
 • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
 • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
 • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
 • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Four whole games with all DLC included is considered bare bones? Really?

You just sound like you're looking for something to complain about. The servers and them not releasing games ready for online, yes, but in terms of a total package...it seems fine to me for that price.
Agreed. When we're getting GTA 5 with a couple updates for full price, Sleeping Dogs with almost no changes for full price, Metro Redux for 40$ where only the first game got a noticeable graphics change (and not much else), when on arcade we have stuff like Limbo that has no noticeable difference... having a full priced game that actually has 4 full games + DLCs inside (2 of them "completely" remastered) is quite an impressive deal, glitches or not. Remember that Destiny asks for the same price, too, and that can be beaten in a day (everything after is just mindless grinding besides the raids). I'm even a bit bitter for not having bought Halo yet, I'd get that nice free stuff as well, and I am already likely going to buy it during December anyway to get 15,000 Xbox Live Rewards credits back. Again, too bad I didn't do it sooner, but eh, hopefully the ODST campaign won't be too expensive 'cause it was perhaps the best Halo campaign of them all.

I had more fun in my 100 hours of post campaign Destiny than I did during the campaign, raids or no raids.

I had fun too for a while, mind you, but I played every single mission (for different reasons like bounties, challenges or what not) dozens of time each. Those unskippable dialogues, the knowledge of every single monster's spawn, the sheer repetition of doing the same old, same old. It may be a half-MMO at heart but I've not seen an MMO where after a day you are literally just revisiting the same places and doing the exact same quests.

Just because you don't know how to skip dialogue/cutscenes doesn't mean there isn't a way to skip or avoid them ;). There's plenty of fun in soloing Nightfalls, two manning raids, and in the crucible. I don't mind playing a slot machine for loot - there are those of us gamers who have sunk countless hours into Diablo 2/3, which is essentially the same format no? I've met many great CAGs through the Destiny group and most of them are still fairly active. The content is there and it was definitely worth my $48.

The DLC on the other hand...

Well, in-game dialogues were unskippable. Dinklebot talking shit while we're fighting was getting annoying as hell, lol. I also don't mind the slot machine, but Diablo games had "a little bit" more than 10 hours or so of original content. Sure, grindy, but at least we visit new places, get new quests, find never seen before items a long into the game. I'm just bitter that they lack this kind of long-term content, because even so they managed to make me play 200 or so hours 'cause the gameplay is REALLY fun.
Off topic question...a friend of mine, the only friend I have that games, is looking to buy a new TV. This is the one he thinks he wants, but I have no knowledge on current gen TV's to say whether it's good or not, so thought I'd get your opinions since I'm betting you all know a lot more about these TV's than I do...http://www.walmart.com/msharbor/ip/SCEPTRE-X325BV-FMDR-32-LED-Class-1080P-HDTV-with-Ultra-Slim-Metal-Brush-Bezel-MHL/25059349
Pass. Walmart is known for crappy electronics. Plus, he can get a comparable, much better branded Samsung for around the same price at Best Buy.

If it was me..id steer clear of this tv. Yes it's cheap but I never heard of that company and im afraid it would crap out on me sooner than expected. Id pass.

I think a selling point is the three year replacement for $19 warranty that Walmart has, just checked and Bestbuy's is $30 for only two years...

The comparable Samsung at BB is $250, that's a big difference compared to $188. $200 is his max limit, I think.

I think I'm going to tell him to get it. Looking at the specs, this one has three HDMI ports, others I'm seeing only have two. The extra slot and walmarts protection plan look good to me. Taking him shopping this afternoon, hopefully they'll have it on display so we can see it in action.

Being bored, and nothing to do..I looked further into that tv. Here is one of reviewer's line..

"I had read somewhere that Sceptre TVs are built by Hitachi, with components used by Sony"

Not sure if its legit but it should be ok, especially with a lot of 4 stars reviews...happy gaming!

I just saw a review say the same thing on amazon, so this might be the one. Has mostly good reviews...

Def want to get it right. He was in a car accident after leaving my house a few years ago that caused some brain trauma, now he always asks me to do the research on stuff like this so I don't want to mess up on it.

If you get charged tax in Walmart you can buy it with free shipping at newegg:

As an added bonus, you won't have to set foot in Walmart. I'm with the other posters saying you should stick with a recognizable brand; however a budget's a budget, no getting around that.

Just to complicate things for you further, you can score a Samsung 32in 720p at Target, free shipping and a $10 gift card. They offer a replacement plan as well. At 32inches, I'd doubt you'd see much of a difference from 1080p, especially from a few feet away.

Amazon has this set of $179.99, with a 10% amazon credit back after purchase. Picked one up the other day as a gift.

He won't buy online, period. His parents had their CC info stolen online years ago and the entire family is so paranoid about shopping online it's not even funny. He won't even buy anything digital on the marketplace. I've tried converting him for years now but it's a solid No.

Not sure about 720p vs 1080p. If the TV was for myself I'd only go 1080p.

I totally get the paranoid thing about the CC info online. Just be sure the TV your friend is satisfied with then GAME AWAY!

Back to topic....Gimme TRIALS FUSION on the low! (Gut feeling says it will be one of those daily deals, just am hoping soon!!)

Thanks for all the tv suggestions guys, I really appreciate it!

Back on topic too, any idea how long Saints Row 4 is going to be on sale for? Just today or till Monday night? Gotta decide if I have to stop at GS to get ms money today or not.

That's funny, since the only time I've ever had to go through the hassle of getting new cards and changing all my payment info was due to an in-store purchase (home depot hack; Chase replaced everyone's cards just in case). People worry about weird things. ::shrug::

Anyway, I don't think 720/1080 is a big deal for a 32" panel, unless he will be sitting right in front of it like a PC monitor.

I just bought this http://www.amazon.com/Seiki-SE40FY27-40-Inch-1080p-60Hz/dp/B00IB17BGG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419086440&sr=8-1&keywords=seiki+tv

Got it used for around $230 and am very pleased with it. Very cheap for a 40 inch.

I am wishing Microsoft would put a lump of coal as a daily sale item. At least it would be something I don't have....and far more entertaining than some of these offerings.

Meh Guacamelee sounds like a good game and I did queue it for the xb1 I don't have as a freebie, but 50% off isn't bad but it just isn't like the sales last year. I'm looking for the $1-5 range.

If those are the X1 deals as well I'm gonna be sad. They're really not giving much incentive for 360 owners to make the jump to next gen with these deals. Why would they when ms only fees the same games with the same deals (usually cheaper on 360)?

Damn... I take it that Chaos Squad on Sunset Overdrive is completely dead??? Been waiting for a game forever. Sucks. I wanted to see what it was like. I just have some challeneges to do in SO and them I am going to move on to Metro:Redux for a while. Trying not to get overwhelmed by my backlog already on X1.

It will probably be active again for the week after Christmas. After that there will be tumbleweeds rolling by again.

Its not like its Microsofts fault you bought everything already though. I mean I get it, these haven't exactly been phenomenal, varied deals so far, but to the average person that isn't watching these things like a hawk all year its probably pretty nice. Plus its not even half over yet, and theres probably at least one more big week-long offering to come, theres still plenty of time for it to redeem itself.

Just a fair warning for RBI Baseball for the 360. The achievement for completing 5 challenges is currently glitched / unobtainable. Seeing how the game is a trashy cash grab as is, I doubt it will ever be patched.

If the X1 version happens to go on sale as well, that one is completable with no glitched achievements.

Anyone else played Lords of the Fallen (post-patch)? Just wondering if it will be cheaper (digitally) any time soon.

I'm a big fan of the game. Sadly it probably won't get cheaper digitally for quite some time. I do however see the retail disc version dropping to sub $30 quickly.

I might have to bite on it despite playing through far cry 4, horizon 2 and mordor now. Heard there is some DLC coming for LotF in January.

I still don't understand bitcoin. Can someone explain it or send me to a site that can?

I understand it's a virtual currency, but I don't understand how it's worth anything.
