Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Tomorrow should bring us a new set of weekly deals along with a daily, correct?

Gonna wait and see what those are before I pull the trigger on Trials.

Sort of off-topic I guess. So, when Games With Gold has put Assassin's Creed 2, for the first time I played the saga and I loved that game. Fun times, 1000GS, so I went out and bought every other episode released until then: all the way up to 3. I played Assassin's Creed 1 but it felt a lot poorer than AC2, was barely even enjoyable sometimes. Brotherhood was already pretty good, but fatigue was kicking in. Revelations and 3, while I have them, don't sound too inviting. I want to play them eventually, but I'm in no hurry, and I did not play anything in one month or so since I got the Xbox One, so who knows when that happens. Even bought the Liberation HD port for 360, but again, that comes later.

For Xbox One, I managed to snag a free-ish code for Black Flag, and just got Unity for 25 bucks. Not bad at all, I say. The question is, should I play the other episodes first? I kinda want to play Unity now, even before Black Flag, but am I missing out on anything relevant to the plot? Also, gameplay-wise, will it be a big leap to go back to Black Flag (and even older games) after getting used to Unity? Kinda like how AC2 was A LOT superior gameplay-wise than AC1. I want to try out some true "next gen" Assassin's Creed action, but I don't want to end up "ruining" the older games by getting used to some features that will be hard to live without.
I'm really happy you started that whole AC discussion recently with this post. Since I'm on a mission to kill my backlog before upgrading to the One, I decided to tackle the games in order of their release so I'm currently working on 2007 games atm and just tried Assassin's Creed. I wasn't able to finish it though. I got stuck on the 3rd or 4th target. There was a bunch of guys to fight and I sucked at countering them all. When I finally beat the group, the target ran away and eventually reached another group of similar size. I attempted it a good 25 times before calling it quits. Got too much backlog to spend that much time failing.

However, after reading all that AC talk in the thread, I've decided to give the series another shot. I'll keep AC2 in the backlog and go from there. Good stuff, Baboy.

I think the weekly deals are scheduled to start anew on Tuesday but we'll probably know them in the evening and it should be the last day for current deals. Time for me to make some decisions.

Just curious, but where is the source on there being another week of deals next week (beyond just a new deal of the week)? MN's initial post said nothing of a second week of deals after this one. I'm as bummed out about the crappy selection as everyone else is, I'm just not very hopeful that they're going to do TWO weeks of crappy deals this year instead of just one. Is there something on the dashboard that indicates there's another week to go?

MN's initial post: "Celebrate the Countdown to 2015 with daily and weekly deals on games and video content in the Xbox Store on Xbox One and 360 with a number of exclusive deals for Xbox Live Gold members. Sign in to Xbox LIVE or stop back here every day to see what new deals we have for you. To kick things off we have the following special offers that will go on sale tomorrow and be available at the below discount until December 22, 2014. Click the links below to see local pricing and availability:"

Well we're making the assumption that there will be another round of weekly deals. Considering there's a whole tab on Le 'Bone dedicated to the sale and there's another week of daily sales it would be a little weird if there was no weekly sales to go with it and fill that spot on the dash. So call it a circumstantial assumption.

Tempted to grab Metro Redux, but can't decide whether or not it's worth $33.  Any thoughts from those who have played through 2033 and/or Last Light?

Also, thinking about picking up Trials for XB1, but I already own it on 360 so will prob pass.

How is stick it to the man? Getting an Xbox one on Christmas day so I can't play demos or anything. I'm already planning on biting on nutjitsu and double dipping on contrast.

I've played through both Metro games and i enjoyed them both a lot. it does seem like it will get cheaper soon though, and not really sure if its a great pair of games to own digitally because there not a ton of replay value.

I'm tempted by Trials+Seasons pass for $20 and also Lords of The fallen even though Ihave it on PC already

Metro series is really well done and enjoyable. The 33% off isn't that great of a deal given that it's around on Steam quite often for half price or better. I bought the disc version for the Xbone around Black Friday time even after I played through the series on the 360 and have them for my pc as well.

Cowboys are in the playoffs! YES!

First person to quote my post gets a code for Limbo on Xbox One.  Gone

Only picked up NCAA Football 14 so far. Downloaded the roster share that Call Me LSU posted online. Way more fun playing with the players names than generic numbers. First time I have booted up my 360 in a month  and 1/2 since getting an Xbox One. Thinking about getting Powerstar Golf. But have the feeling it will be free on games with gold soon. Since it was already picked for Australia.

I played and beat Metro Last Light on the Xbox 360. Very good game. I snagged Metro Redux for $25 during Amazon's Black Friday sales. It's even better on the Xbox One. For what you get, (both Last Light and 2033, along with all the DLC), even at $33, it's still a pretty decent deal.

imo no on metro, $33 is just a meh price. disc has been $25 or less multiple times now the past 30 days at best buy/amazon, and the publisher discounts quickly - should see disc version be $20 regularly next year. its a decent game but once you are done you are done, don't see why you would buy it digitally. its not such a masterpiece that you'll want to boot it up again months later to play a little bit more.

I'm fairly sure this has been answered before, but does Titanfall on sale now on 360 include the season pass? Also, how is the population in that game?

EDIT: How much space does the game take up?

I think I'll wait for the digital version of Metro to hit $20...it's a lot of content for the $$, but I agree with tearsintherain that the price will probably drop even more pretty soon

Has Minecraft (X1) always been $5 or is it because I own the 360 version?
Where are you seeing it for $5? I own the 360 version as well but I'd pick it up again for the X1 for a fiver.

Never mind, seeing it on the store now for 5. It says 19.99 in the summary description but 5 when I click through to it.

I just started Stick it to Man tonight and I gotta say it's a lot of fun. I bought based off IGN's review but it's even better than I anticipated. The graphics are great for a 2-d puzzler/platformer, it's genuinely funny and weird and there's checkpoints like every 15 seconds so it's easy to turn on and play for a few minutes and stop if you need to. I'm not a big puzzle game guy but these aren't difficult at all (not yet, at least). I didn't want to stop playing but had to because one of my kids threw up. I highly recommend it.

The game, not the vomiting.

I bought Nutjitsu too. Played for 10 minutes and got tired if it.

Anyone have thoughts on the FH2 expansion that just came out recently?
If you like FH2 it's great! If you have the VIP it's 9.99 and worth every penny. For 19.99 I'd wait for a sale, unless your really into the game because it is definitely 20 bucks worth of content. You get some new cars, new terrain, between 50-100 new races, 8 new bucket list challenges, and 500 achievement points. I love it.

Follow up question. The VIP is basically just a handful of additional cars and a discount on the expansion?

I'm kinda hoping the previous week was the so-so week then we get a typical Countdown til new year type of sale like the previous years next week. If I remember correctly, this sale did start a bit earlier than it normally does.

Does ANYBODY play far cry 4 online? I've been trying to get the co op and/or multiplayer achievements all weekend and not a soul online when I try to find a game

I played a bit in others' games about two weeks ago after I finished the SP. It was alright - but no one had headsets, so coordinating the achievements was just random luck. I think I still need one, maybe two (the vehicle takedown from the passenger seat). I'm not too worried about it, honestly. I like earning achievements, but I'm not going to sweat missing a few of the frustrating/luck-required ones.

Has anyone picked up BF4 premium on sale?

Just wondering how many active players still play vanilla and if enough players play the expansion.

Thinking about grabbing it at that price for the base game and all the expansions for $30.

The 360 games on demand version does indeed include the season pass (9 more maps). The population seems to be good from what Ive played. I just bought it 2 days ago. It takes up about 8 gb in storage space with the season pass. Without its I believe alittle over 6gb. each map pack ranges about 600-700mbs.

Well if you are still up for the achievements I'll be glad to help you if you'll help me.

Hey Bloomy, I've no idea how to do it myself, so could you be so kind (if the other members like the idea) to add a poll to see how many users of this thread already have switched to the next gen? It's pure curiosity.

I know there's a couple Italian dudes in this thread, this is a heads up to them: new, sealed copy of Master Chief Collection at GameStop is currently going for 41 Euros. It's the cheapest you can get right now in Italy, so if you want the game, this is your best shot and just in time for the beta too.
