I think it gets hate from the MOBA community because of its 3rd person perspective. I've put a decent amount of time into all 3 of them and Smite is by far the one that takes the most "skill" to hit a target.

 
So i read somewhere that XCOM Enemy Within is pretty much Enemy Unknown just with all the dlc and more stuff

so is XCOM Enemy Within a sequel or more like an expansion of Enemy Unknown?

Seriously, though, read my post above. The development team even knows the difficulty balance is messed up.

If you're not enjoying the challenge of it, crank it down a notch now...then crank it up after you figure things out. By then you'll be comfortable with Signs, have decided what skills you want to level up, and you'll be ready to take on anyone and everyone.

 
maybe someone can help me out here. on the Xbox 360 console I can view the wither 2 page but download is not an option. on xbox.com when I click the picture for the witcher I get a page not found error

That actually excites me a bit. Game was fun when it came out, the content was just super limited and the economy broke within a week. Wonder if they fixed any of that. Will be willing to give it a go again on Le 'Bone at least.

Got excited thinking it was DDO so that there would be a chance to get LOTRO on X1. Sadly Neverwinter is a different D&D MMO.

 
Crap...so today I can, and have, bought Enemy Within but now the Borderlands2 dlc has vanished from the marketplace...wth is up with ms the last couple days?
 
Managed to get Minerva's Den today so I'm good for the week.

Haven't heard anything about Mafia 2 DLC so I'll actually start playing it from the backlog to see if it's worth it.

 
Wow. 30 minutes into Mafia 2 and I'm convinced that this is the perfect game for Date Night. How could I say something bad about a game that allows you to
collect vintage Playboy pictures?

Gameplay and story so far are pretty good too; it's a nice break from back to back Call of Duty (next up in the backlog: Modern Warfare 2).

You win, Microsoft. I'm buying the DLC.

 
I bought Never Alone and The Jackbox. Almost bought Never Alone when it got released, so I'm happy it got a sale. It will be a welcome sight after I finish Ryse. Never has such a short game felt like such a chore to get through...

Witches 2 combat at launch was an absolute dumpster fire. You spent 90% of the time rolling around while the mobs taunted you with the same three lines. Parry one attack and lose all your stamina, that kind of crap. This was on PC though and it's supposedly been overhauled several times since then.

To be clear it wasn't tough but fair like dark souls, it was irritating in a this-hasn't-been-play tested-at-all kind of way.

And good lord does this series have a ton of apologists and cheerleaders.

With a median score of around 90, I don't think the series needs any apologists. W2 was one of the few games I've ever played that actually lived up to the hype. I've only ever played the refined X360 version, but it was great throughout. Coming to grips with the combat can be a challenge at first, and the potion system is a bit of a waste, but I loved it. *shakes pom poms*

I buy a year at a time. Auto renew. I was just looking to snag a 48 hour for him since he has his Xbox here. He usually doesn't go for gold. Only reason I was asking about the 48. We wanted to do some online PvZ:GW.

Oh and just saying...Bought him a 3 month.

Sorry about that! I fell asleep about 15 minutes after replying to you. If I'd known it was an Xbox live emergency I would've tried to stay up another 5 minutes. I pm'd it to you just now. Save it for next time I guess!
 
The Witcher 2 is fantastic, I love that game. I really want to play through it again, there's a critical choice you have to make towards the middle of the game that impacts the rest of the story. A buddy of mine chose the opposite choice I did and the storyline sounded very interesting when he described it, so I'd like to experience the game from that perspective as well. Now that I have it on my hdd I'm way more likely to replay it.

I don't think the game is that difficult, if you play on the lesser difficulty settings. I chose Easy (which I usually do, I don't find any enjoyment out of playing games that are crazy hard), and never got too overwhelmed except in the last story arc trying to get some better equipment, I ran across a wizard( in the sewers that mopped the floor with me. There was a glitch though that allowed me to live even though my health had been depleted so I was able to defeat him after about a half hour or so, but then I could never regenerate my health or magic, at least until I leveled up (so watch out for that glitch, I think it can only occur during the last story arc). Once you level up, set all your stat points you obtained and then save the game, and then exit to the title screen. Once you've done that you can reload your save. That's how I fixed it, anyway. 

Anyway, don't let the fear of difficulty deter you from playing The Witcher 2, if you dial it down it's not bad at all IMHO.

It's an expansion. There's a new faction in the game, with an additional new resource, two huge new development trees, new units, and a little bit of storyline. Plus all the DLC and "Second Wave" gameplay adjustments from Enemy Unknown.

I really don't get the comments about the difficulty. Sure it's rough in the beginning because it has a steep learning curve but you don't die nearly as often as you do in a game like Dark Souls.

 
The XBL Rewards pass offer was removed from their site as scheduled, but I wonder if the marketplace problems the last couple days might make them extend the offer.  Wasn't really keen on getting Destiny, but a bunch of friends love it and have been badgering me to join them.  They couldn't have hounded me a week and a half ago when it was 25% off, but whatever.  Was considering getting the digital 360 version and pass while the cross buy was still active (which might still be given past precedent with other cross buy offers) and the pass would've pushed me over the $40 spending threshold for passes.

Thanks for the reply dude instead of the complaining other people did

Never really cared for the storyline,the gameplay is what catches my attention the most,reminds me a bit of fire emblem
