Actually, to do it the real CAG way would be to buy all those easy 1000 gamerscore games for cheap and then never play them until at least a few years after finding out that someone else already got the lifetime Gold.

Don Bradman Cricket is now available for the low price of $59.99 via the console store! 10 minutes on Twitch made me feel not so bad about being a baseball fan still.

It's a great game. Pretty sure you can get a physical copy for $5 or less though, if that matters.

I don't think 2 had much dlc. One or two add ons I think. It's been so long since I played I don't remember. 3 and 4 have a ton of dlc.

I don't know anything about Cricket, so I'd like to play it to learn like I did with FIFA. Price is too high though and not available to rent :(

 
A lot of people still maintain SR2 is the best in the series. Not sure I agree, but it's good enough that I wouldn't argue it. It's almost certainly the best in the series if you didn't like how they got ultra crazy with the third one.
 
I was hoping the Saints Row 2 add-on dlc would go on sale as well. It seems it's gone on sale several times, but not once in the past two years. It has a $10 add-on, and a $7 add-on. No season pass for both.

I played Saints Row 2 after playing Saints Row 3 and 4. I planned to just do the main storyline missions so I could have it finished before Gat Out of Hell came out, but I enjoyed the game so much I ended up doing all the missions. After playing the later Saints Rows the graphics in 2 were a bit jarring, but what do you expect from an older game? And after a couple hours the graphics were no longer a distraction.

Saints Row 3 is probably my favorite, but then I like the crazy turn the series took. I'd like to find more games that have the same ridiculous tone as them and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Sunset Overdrive looks like that kind of game. I think Shadow Warrior might also be like that, but I have only played it for an hour. But in that hour the main character sang along to "The Touch", and after jumping in the air I came down and sliced a guy in half with my sword.

 
Man, I am having such bad luck. Earlier in the week, all my games seemingly got wiped out. Thankfully, someone here suggested that change the USB and that fixed it.

Now, I got the "Ox80820002" error where it doesnt read any discs. I think it started with the update that happened few days back - I remember playing SoM few days ago without any issues. Today I popped in the Evolve disc and it gave the error; I checked all the other discs and its the same deal. What a shitty time I am having with this console...hate it!

Im the same guy that suggested that "change usb" fix.

Now this new error to you is also one that happened to me before. Want to know my fix? You may not like it, but if you installed almost everything to external drive like I did...All I did was to format the xbox one. When I did that, I was able to insert any cd, and the games I installed on to external drive was still there..They all just came back.

No problems for a pretty long time.

Try formatting the xbox one (unplug the external drive first though). Good luck!

 
Just tried the 'life is strange' demo. Telltale should be very embarrased. Very!

Also 'warface' has been delisted and removed. Shocking.

It's been a while since i came here so maybe it's old news.

I keep reading this and all it shows me is that people hate whats popular so they become natural contrariens. Life Is Strange is adequate and I definitely liked it but as someone who has played every Telltale game to completion so far, it doesn't even come close to the greatness of Tales From The Borderlands, TWD, or TWAU. Game Of Thrones has been pretty tepid so far but a lot of things can change with 4 episodes left. Other than that, I feel like LIS' praise has been way overblown.

It's on sale for pre-order only. Starting tomorrow it won't be on sale. Maybe even later tonight, whenever it's officially released.


Edit: but I guess you never really know. Never Alone stayed on sale for a while after it was released. I wouldn't take any chances though.

It's no secret that Telltale makes pretty poor games, technically speaking. Imo they big succeeded with TWD and since then they have been cashing in without improving their software. They tell good stories, no doubt, mainly thanks to their licensed franchises (it's hard to fail when you have TWD or GoT worlds at your disposal). But when it comes to smooth, solid and polished game experiences they don't deliver. I played first episode of GoT last month and ended up infuriated: the game froze on me three times, the load times were ridiculous, the scenes were laggin with characters jumping or becoming static, lazy job on visuals, with backgrounds undefined, blurry, rough textures everywhere, empty environments, and the framerate drops. The only reason to get the game is that it's called Game of Thrones. Put that franchise on capable hands and they would do wonders, but instead we got a Telltale derivative.

Not to mention the lack of another languages. I wasn't in a hurry to play TWAU due to my backlog and decided to wait for a translation. They needed more than a year (!) to upload a tiny text file of subtitles. I've translated full movies in an evening. Can't they hire a pro translator for such endeavour?

I won't praise 'Life is strange' with my short experience with the trial, but hell, if anyone who has played a Telltale game try LiS and don't feel like having jumped two generations forward in graphic adventures is in denial.

The news articles I found said The Escapists will have a 10% discount for XBL Gold members for 1 month, which I took as for 1 month after release, vs. a 25% discount on Steam for 1 week. I couldn't trace the XB1 discount announcement back to an official statement from the devs.

You may not like it, but if you installed almost everything to external drive like I did...All I did was to format the xbox one. When I did that, I was able to insert any cd, and the games I installed on to external drive was still there..They all just came back.

No problems for a pretty long time.

Thanks dude, I will try this tonight and let you know if it works. So, I need to power down the damn thing, disconnect the external disc, power it back on and reset to factory defaults...right?!

I was going to reset it anyways, just to see. But since you said it worked for you, gives me lot more confidence to try it out.

 
I didn't start playing my 360 on a regular basis until around the time Modern Warfare 2 came out. I remember hitting 10k around that time as well.

I have a full time (fantastic) job. A wife and 3 kids. other than golf (hah, I'm old!), gaming is pretty much my only hobby.

yeah me neither. I play exclusively on the Xbox One and PS4 though. The experience is 100x smoother on current gen. I did have some technical hiccups on the 360 a year ago but that didn't factor into my statement of Telltales games largely being a far superior experience in gaming than Life Is Strange. Nobody is in denial.

I got 4 kids here. FINALLY got some wireless headphones yesterday so I can hear the games I'm playing after they go to bed. 6+ years of never hearing my games and only reading subtitles was starting to get old.

One time after we had our first baby, I was up late watching Battlestar Galactica with headphones on, the baby started crying but I was oblivious, my wife had to wake up and take care of her instead. Hilarity did NOT ensue. Since then headphones have been a nonstarter for me. :p

I just turn the volume down low and put the subtitles on, which is fine because I prefer watching things with subtitles anyway.

 
I use the Astro A50s. I picked them up refurbished on Amazon for $180 back in August. I can't praise them enough as not only do they allow for good audio after the wife and kids hit the sack, they also make for great noise blockers for weekend sessions :)

Just the regular 'ol xbox one headphones! $50 at gamestop.


Ryuukishi - I told my wife last night: "if the baby wakes up just text me" and that took care of that.

Synnarc - I had to promise my wife I wouldn't spend over $100 so that ruled out anything TOO nice, but what I ended up with does the trick.

I'm proud to say I've had my 360 since launch day (well technically I've been through 6 but still) and just cracked 50,000 recently.  And I don't even know how I have that to be honest since I loathe the idea and culture achievements have created.  Well that and I never finish games... lol

I hear you. I have probably about 300 games, between my 360 and X1. I've only ever "completed" (1000/1000) one game. That was Dark Souls, and it started out being purely out of spite, but halfway through my first play through I was loving every second of it. I just get bored too quickly with games. My GS is only about 38,000.

I do like the idea of GS though, and it has kept me playing a few games I would have otherwise given up on.
