Sales are weekly, Tuesday to Tuesday. Xbox One sales typically have been falling off at Midnight UTC on Tuesday morning (so Monday evening in the US).

Yes I really, really, really, really compared Destiny to GTA. How many people bought GTA on both last gen and current gen? That padded their numbers as well.

GTA 5 was quite the joke too: terrible story, terrible servers, broken promises, launch game did not have features promised, many delays, many bugs, and the hyper hype...... just like Destiny.

Like was said, it's Tuesday to Tuesday. On the plus side I would definitely expect Tomb Raider to go on sale again, and probably for lower. It might even get a Games with Gold treatment if Microsoft looks for further retail games to make free in the future.

I didn't like Destiny myself but 61 out of 82 of the people on my PSN friends list played it. It might not have been GTA5 (the largest selling console game ever?) but it sure did well from all of the reports I read during the launch month.

But how many games do you know if that have released such a large amount any free DLC expansions lately? The amount of support this game has received is phenomenal. They easily could have charged us for all these expansions, and $15 for the Heists at least. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Also, terrible story? Really? I thought it was the only GTA storyline with a crap.

I'll second you on the server issues though. Connecting to friends is a 50/50 shot most of the time.

GTA V didn't need any padding of its numbers. It had sales of over 800 million in just 24 hours and passed 1 billion in just 3 days, which was actually more than double the expected sales. It broke seven Guinness World Records including best-selling video game in 24 hours, best-selling action-adventure video game in 24 hours, highest grossing video game in 24 hours, highest revenue generated by an entertainment product in 24 hours, most viewed trailer for an action-adventure video game, fastest entertainment property to gross $1 billion, and fastest video game to gross $1 billion. And entertainment property includes movies, music, books, etc. GTA V was sickeningly successful.

Don't get me wrong, releasing it on Xbox One and PS4 no doubt earned then a lot more money, probably hundreds of millions more, but it was already vastly successful LONG before those versions came out so to describe it as padding its numbers is nothing short of laughable.

And its critical reception was just as successful as its sales. It scored 9's and 10's from practically every gaming site in existence and its user rated scores, on sites that have user rated scores, are just as high as the professional review scores. Criticaly speaking, its one of the most successful games ever released. Its the 5th highest rated game off all time on MetaCritic (actually tied for 5th).

So you can hate it all you want. At the end of the day, the vast majority of gamers loved Gta V and it was a massive success for Rockstar. to even try and compare it to Destiny is really laughable at best. And you may hate Gta V's story, but at least it actually had a story. Bungie claimed the story in Destiny was on the level of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter. Hilarious considering it really didn't even have a story and what little it did have was nowhere even close to the quality of Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. Basically, Bungie flat out lied to its fans, hoping like hell to pad their numbers.

I didn't read all your blah blah but I'll chime in and say I hated it. The single player had not 1 redeeming or enjoyable character to play. When I took control of all 3, I wanted to just get them killed. No interest whatsoever in helping them succeed. That was it's biggest flaw to me. Well that and I don't ever enjoy sandbox games online. I think if I want heists I'll play payday or hardline.

I felt so bad too....I think a day or two into the beta, they opened it to everyone so you didn't even need a key. So he paid $70 to play the beta a day early. I think I would've just refunded him if he messaged me lol

Ha, I sold my code for $5 after I read it would go free, someone couldn't wait an hour or so to play it I think since it wasn't available free at that exact moment (couldn't wait an hour or so). People will buy anything. I remember I sold a code for the classic costume for Scorpion on the recent 2011 Mortal Kombat for $40. I paid $50 for the game, I could not believe it. If there is a market (see Amiibos), I can't blame someone for trying, as much as I hate scalpers.

Agree, GTA series is relying on its name, I played many more hours with Destiny than GTA V. Still prever GTA:SA over the rest.

Yeah, I had that Reptile klassic skin from Amazon, I think I paid $40 for the thing after a $20 coupon. Sold that costume for $55, then the next week they announced all of the klassic ninja consumes for $5, lol.

I just sold my code for $20 for FFXV, I know tonight it'll get saturated and people can buy it for a song. I am picking my T0 up after work, I figure for $30 it's worth a try. I may pick up dragon age as well. Then I have hardline at home and Bloodborne next week.

Apparently we will get our MSstore orders today. Mine says out for delivery even though it didn't leave Pennsylvania until 9 PM last night. Really wasn't expecting overnight delivery.

Hopefully soon, it's 4 now, says by the end of the daily deliveries.

I completed the 25 hours that Destiny had to offer, then spent the other 375 hours doing everything over and over again for no reason. Luckily, I've kicked the Destiny habit. GTA offers way more content, better story, free DLC and much more to do online.

Well, it at least padded its records. Unless an iPhone can be classed as an "entertainment property", those generic records can realistically only be touched by a $60 video game. $1 billion / $60 = 16.7 million copies sold. When the Avengers had a $207 million opening 3-day weekend in the US, the average movie ticket price was just under $8, so ~25 million tickets sold. The last Harry Potter book sold 15 million copies in its first 24 hours, but that was, what, $30? The price per unit of other entertainment properties pretty much makes those video game categories.

I'm actually really liking this new GTA. I really hated GTAIV. The characters were shit in IV, but so far, GTAV has me hooked with its characters and story.

hey guys...the best game ever FRUIT NINJA KINECT 2 drops tomorrow. I want to buy it, but its not showing up in the marketplace. I know I know, its not the 18th yet, but pretty much all digital games show up in the Xbox Store at least a week before release day, but I see nothing for it so far. Anyone know whats going on here? I've tried Google searching the issue but no answers.

At least a week before hand? Haven't seen that yet. Maybe it will show up when it hits midnight GMT.

Thanks for the reminder.

Did anyone try the "add-ons''/extra channels, for $5 as well in the 1-month free trial, and not have any problems? Right before putting in credit card information, it has my total at $39.99/month + tax (which includes a few extra "add ons"). I assume this is normal?

 
Has anyone figured out how to continue the single player campaign for BF Hardline from the progress of the early access? I can only see the option to replay the episodes or start over.

 
Cabela's African Adventures ($39.99) and BLADESTORM: Nightmare ($59.99) are now available. Bladestorm has a demo and plays like a Dynasty Warriors game if anyone is into that kind of thing.

I think EastX (Paul Avacado) is streaming Bladestorm tonight and tomorrow for those that want to check it out. Should be starting soon, 8pm cst.

I liked some of the Cabela's on 360, so I might check this one out. My favorites are the open world ones. I think Alaskan Adventures was the one I really liked.

FOR THOSE WHO LIKE WRESTLING, I know there are a few here, check out Lucha Underground on the el Rey channel. They have some episodes on demand. You shan't be disappointed.
 
I played some BF4 today on the same servers I've been playing all weekend without issue, fucking incredibly laggy to the point where it's not even enjoyable. EA blows.

I'm going with Valiant Hearts and Lego Marvel for Xbox One and Mass Effect 3, Gears of War: Judgment, Ducktales Remastered, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

How I came up with that? Eh, shot in the dark. I'm guessing they will split it up between half arcade titles and half retail titles. I would've said Titanfall, but they gave away the add ons for free and they won't give the whole game away for free.

They're not going to release a game for money and then make it free the very next month. That's a poor prediction.

ME3 is not available on XBL marketplace I guess.
I hope to see some good coop/mp games (left4dead, portal, old cods, gears, borderlands, forza)
