I got my Elite controller yesterday. Everything about it is glorious - even the box/packaging. A kick-ass version of the best controller in all of the land.

(Will take my brain a bit to get used to the paddles.)

After using the Elite controller for a month, yesterday I tried using the normal xbox one controller for a change and it felt like I was holding a toy in comparison.

I've had mine for about a week. Still struggling with the paddles. I keep changing my config around, I just dont know what I like. I'm assuming you play halo. What paddles do you use for jump/thruster pack? I use the top left as jump, top right as thruster, and move the bottom two between X and Y or LB and RB. I suck so much more using the paddles, but I guess it's just growing pains :p

I was pretty intimidated by the paddles at first too. I eventually arrived at the thought that it's probably best as a default to just map all the face buttons, A, B, X, and Y to the paddles. At first I was assigning all kinds of stuff to them based on the game, but the paddles are best used when they are allowing you to keep your right hand thumb on the analog stick. All the other buttons on the controller are accessible when your thumb is on that stick. Once I was down to considering where to map only four buttons, it got easier to sort out. Unless there's something you really don't like about a specific game's mapping of any of the buttons outside of A,B,X, and Y, just leave them alone and focus on remapping those four to the paddles.

I do play Halo - but haven't used the Elite for it yet, as I only got the controller last night. I am most excited to use it with Forza 6, using the paddles to change gears sounds like it would be fun.

I 'premiered' the controller last night by playing Fallout with it first. Just finding the right thumbstick combo that I like - the tall boys are my fave. One thing is for sure, the circle D-pad is fucken awesome.

I popped into my friendly neighborhood MS store on BF and they had 3 of the controllers just sitting there not being bought. I decided to give one of them a home, but it ate up all my MS bucks froooom spaaaaaaaace. I LOVE how all the interchangeable parts are magnetic. There's a very satisfying 'click' or 'thud' when they lock into place. I also bought the Forza controller while I was there (the reason I was there) and got a free LW controller from GS several weeks ago, but this one may be my main driver.

I've been using the shorter domed (ps4 style) as the left thumbstick, and the taller concave stick as the right thumbstick. I think i still prefer the standard D-pad, at least for HALO.

 
Does anyone know how the free DOA5LR Core Fighters works if you also have the disc? Like, the disc installs all of the characters as separate DLCs. Will I be able to use them in Core Fighters without having the disc inserted, or not?

ETA: Googled a bit and it looks like the answer is that the licenses for all that content still resides with the disc, so you can't use any of it in Core Fighters without the disc inserted. Oh well!

did the disc come with actual codes that you redeemed. If not, you will need the disc, for anything that's not free right now.

 
All three AC: Chronicles games will be released on one disc next year, 2/9.

Digitally, ACC: India releases 1/12 and ACC: Russia releases 2/9.
