(Pro tip: You're gonna want to keep a list of the DLC you have downloaded to your HD if you later dispense with the game.)

 
Great, Lego Batman 3 Deluxe on sale, but no sale on the Season Pass alone.  Come on, the PS4 had it half price a few weeks back!

 
For some reason I keep buying all these Lego games but never actually play any of them. I guess I will continue the trend and pickup Lego Movie. Hobbit will probably be $5 in a couple of months, so no hurry there.

Yeah, I'm guilty of the same... I own Lego Movie, Marvel, and Batman 3 for Xbone, but I told myself I wouldn't start any of them until I thousand Batman 2 on 360... which I haven't done yet.

I am enjoying the new Evolve Hunters, Monster, and maps. Surprisingly impressed with how well done TRS have done this.

 
RE Revelations 2's online is live on 360, probably on Bone too.

Thinking about grabbing some KoA DLC, but I feel like I only paid $5 or less for the game itself so not sure if I want to justify it. I'll probably skip it if the Judgement VIP Pass goes on sale with the game. As is $20 seems like a lot for only 6 maps, especially compared to the $30 the huge amount of Gears 3 stuff cost

I know exactly how you feel. Shit NO I don't wanna pay $5 each for KoA dlcs, game's good but these dlc prices piss me off. They're always out there to get them complitionists who are ready to pay the price and complete a game package. If you're Gears fan and you know you gonna play Judgment a lot then def. invest in VIP pass. I'm thinking myself of getting that pass since my buddies will jump on GoWJ next month.

 
I wonder if that was always the plan, or if they scrapped development on normal DLC when they refunded the season pass? If it was I'd be pretty bothered if I bought a season pass for a game only for it to be a totally different genre. Though I don't buy these passes until at least the first DLC is out.

 
I am tempted to get Dance Central Spotlight for the Xbone at $2(cdkeys) but I don't even have the console yet. Will buy one when it hits $200 during the holidays at the end of the year, but after getting "burned" buying Peggle 2 for $3 when it was going for $1, it makes me think DC: S will go GWG soon as I get the One.

My issue is that I have played about 2 minutes of each and never got hooked into playing any further. They're just so...uninteresting. I have:

Lego Batman 2

Lego Indy

Lego Marvel

Lego Pirates

Lego Rockband

Lego LOTR

and now Lego Movie

Somehow I've managed to stay clear of the StarWars and the Harry Potter games......for now. :)

 
My biggest pet peeve with lego games is your character doesn't suck up the collectibles. Games like ratchet, you get close enough and collectibles attract to your character preventing you from going and walking over each one. Great for younger children who love those tiny pick ups, boring for an adult who wants to collect them all but doesn't want to touch every damn one.

Back when I first got my 360 I played the Lego Indy game a lot to the point where i think I'm missing like 3 achievements. I also played a lot of Lego Batman. I think after that I just got burned out on Lego games because I have played like an hour of Lego Marvel and Lego Star Wars and have gotten bored really quick.

 
Lego Marvel was the best one. Got 100% in that but my god the amount of time you spend looking for gold bricks and unlocking characters/vehicles is just exorbitant. Took me between 50-60 hours to get the full 100%. Never again. I tried to do it again with Lego Batman Beyond Gotham but I got burned out around hour 30.

Thought that might be the case. I played a lot of Gears 3 for a while and even though a lot of guys switched to Judgement on release, all but one stopped playing after 2-4 weeks. At least 3 didn't lose it's population to it.

Judgement doesn't even had Horde right? I tend to play that the most unless I have a group.

Yes, Judgment doesn't have Horde...(also my favorite) there is an Overrun Mode where some Locusts appear but...that isn't anything like Horde...

Also...the controls feel very awkward and clunky sometimes, at least when you compare it to the movement and controls of Gears 1-3.

At least the Story Mode is kinda...okay. Nothing big, but still enjoyable...as for the MP part..well not many maps even with the free dlc..I still need to get the season pass only for the achievements though. But if you want to have fun play the other Gears of War titles.

EDIT: It will also take a while to get the War Supporter Achievement since the special events only change every 2 weeks,sometimes it takes even longer, so getting 30 ribbons for the achievement might take a good while.

Judgment has Survival Mode. it's similar to Horde Mode in that it's 5 players versus increasingly more difficult waves of enemies, but is more complex. It uses a class based system, which means you're truly dependent on your teammates. That's a big reason why people won't like it. If your team totally sucks you'll struggle. Only medics can revive, only soldiers can resupply ammo, and only engineers can repair. Everyone can spot (though most players don't for some reason), but scouts can use their recon grenade to not only mark enemies but make them weaker and easier to kill.

Survival is only 10 waves, so it escalates much quicker than Horde. It's also objective based, where you have to defend a point from attack. Losing that point forces you to retreat to another objective. You are only offered 3 objectives per map, so if you fail to defend the 3 individual objectives you lose. It's basically the same as Overrun Mode, but with AI, more enemies, and frantic action in later waves.

Make sure to assemble a crew for the All Aboard achievement. Most people play as Baird online, so you'll be unlikely to get that in public matches.

It will never be GwG. I don't think there has ever been a Kinect only game for either platform.
 
Survival sounds like it might be fun. I'm going to have 2 of my buddies as regulars and we do alright at coordinating for this kind of mode. We'll probably finish campaign, mess around with these multiplayer modes for a week, then migrate to Gears 3 at best.

At least the game should be populated for a little while and I'll get the full experience.

It's trying to charge me $15 for a game I already bought months ago (pre-ordered too). Anyone have any info?

Edit 2: I can confirm - upon booting up the game you'll be prompted to dl the update. Once the update is complete the screen changes to Geometry Wars 3 Dimensions Evolved. I can't confirm if the blood count dlc is included because I already had it.

I think it is a free update but you need to get it by opening the game. Sadly, it's listed separately on the XBL store so a lot of people may indeed think they need to buy it again.

Also, I read that eeven the exclusive level for pre-orders also is being given out free for everyone in this update.

Haven't played Batman 3 but Hobbit is arguably the best of the LEGO games.

 
While we are on the topic of Lego games. Since I just bought Lego marvel on physical and got it so cheap digital. Any 1 wanna trade that for Lego hobbit on xbox1? ( yes I know not the trade thread but I'm old and forget the rules sometimes. Cut me some slack)

Depends. For Gears 3, everyone below 30 ribbons should be set to 29 when they start up the game. Unfortunately, there are 35 unique ribbon IDs, and when you participate in an event, that ribbon ID is marked in your save and you can't get it again. The trick is playing when they're using a ribbon ID you still need. Someone new to the game should get the achievement to pop right after their first full match. Someone who's played the game in the past may need to play for a while until they get a ribbon ID they haven't already registered.

For Judgment, Black Tusk is in the middle of a week where they're changing the ribbon daily, at approximately 8:30 Pacific. They say this may continue beyond this week, or may stop and come back in the future.
